Booking.com FAQs

How Does Booking.com Work?

Booking.com provides online reservation services, acting as an agent between customers wanting to book a hotel reservation and properties offering rooms. The transaction is made between the guest and the hotel, with the customer paying the agreed room rate after their stay - or earlier in the case of a non-refundable booking.

How Does Booking.com Make Money?

Booking.com works on a commission-based model, which means hotels pay them a set percentage on each reservation. Hotels will only have to pay commission once the guest has stayed and paid. At the beginning of each month, they will be sent an invoice which will include all of the bookings for the previous month and the total commission owed for them
