In the run-up to last year’s Christmas, WHSmith promoted their wide range of toys, games, and gifts from prices as low as £2.99. This year, be on the hunt for similar deals to round out your Christmas shopping. Their other offers and ranges covered many other aspects of the most wonderful time of the year, from books to DVDs to sweet treats.

WHSmith Boxing Day and winter offers keep things fun and affordable for the entire family., even when purse strings might be tight after Christmas. Last year saw 50% off products including arts and crafts, stationery, and much more. In other years, the WHSmith Boxing Day sale has gone as high as 75% off products. Only time will tell how generous it is this year.

The question on many people’s minds: is WHSmith open on Boxing Day? There’s nothing to indicate it won’t be. The shop doesn’t have a habit of closing after Christmas, although opening hours may be affected in some branches. Fear not, however. Buying online lets you shop through TopCashback, which refunds some of the money you spend on their website. Whatever you buy using our WHSmith voucher code deals, they offer different delivery and collection options.

Spend over £25 and you can take advantage of free saver delivery, which will usually see your items arrive in 2-4 working days if they are in stock. If you need the products you have ordered a little quicker, order by 3pm Monday-Friday and in stock items will usually be delivered the next day if you opt for the first class service, while magazine subscriptions come with free delivery.

Alternatively, you can do your shopping online and collect it from one of their 600 high street stores, plus selected railway stations and hospitals (exclusions apply). Products which are in stock in the online warehouse are available for collection in 2-4 working days. To make use of this option, select 'Store Delivery' on the basket page and choose your store.

They will then send you an email when it is available for collection. When you go to collect your order, look out for the Click & Collect sign, while you will need to take your order dispatch or collection notification email, which you can show on your phone.

If you change your mind about an item purchased, you can return it to a store or by post within 30 calendar days for a refund (exclusions apply).

When returning to a store, you will need to take the order dispatch email and they will refund your card. Items can also be posted to the address you will find on the delivery note included with your order. Items being returned by post must be in their original condition and packaging, with any security seals intact.

You must also include your invoice number, email address or telephone number and the reason for the return. If the item is more than one metre long, you will need to contact WHSmith to arrange collection. If you want an exchange rather than get a refund, you should send the original item back for a refund and place a new order.

Henry Walton Smith and his wife, Anna, opened a small newsvendors in London. When Henry, and then Anna, died, H W Smith, which was now trading as a newsagents and stationers, passed to their two sons, Henry Edward and William Henry Smith. The latter was the more capable businessman and the company became known as WHSmith.

National Book Tokens gift cards are sold and exchanged in bookshops throughout the UK and Ireland, including WHSmith (with the exception of travel outlets in stations and airport locations). However, they cannot currently be redeemed on the WHSmith website.
