Ancestry Reviews

TopCashback members who have mentioned it in Ancestry reviews seem to love the service and/or product they received from Ancestry. Some of the comments include “very enjoyable and interesting” and “a great price, product and cashback too”, while one member stated: “AncestryDNA — easy to follow instructions and mind-blowing results.”

While it is true that some members who chose to leave an Ancestry review said they did not receive as much cashback as they were expecting, had theirs declined or were disappointed it took longer than expected to become payable, there are many positive comments. These include “tracked immediately and became payable on time”, “no problems with tracking and paid faster than most” and “a pleasure to do business with Ancestry”.

Don't do it! you will not get the Cashback please read mine and others experiences here to get the picture. It took nearly a year of chasing to get Ancestry to fail to honour my cashback and I have now subsequently cancelled my subscription which is just coming up for renewal.

Spike86 last year cashback appeared promptly so why after taking out a renewal for my wife is there still no sign of it in my cashback account, like many others who have paid GOOD money on the belief that the cash back would be forth coming I to say the least am to say the least disappointed!!!!!!!!

I got my Cashback the First year but this years Cashback and Subsequent Submission to Chase it have disappeared from my Account. Therefore Like Others why do they still advertise them when they don't pay out. I have had a similar problem on a Product update of there's, sending me an email for it at discounted Price - Purchase then annoyingly Ancestry then send me out an Email with 25% off (Cheaper again) when they Know I have all ready bought the Item 2 weeks prior. For the Sake of Repeating myself why do Cashback use them and then don't follow up on the Chasing and drop it with no warning no nothing and Heed the Customer Complaints to them.

I am very disappointed with the lack of cashback tracking regarding my purchase for my annual subscription for Ancestry.co.uk, and I am even more disappointed that TopCashBack do not take into consideration any of these many negative feedbacks when allowing a merchant to continue to promote it's goods and services on it's site, knowing that's it's very unlikely that it's customers will ever get any cashback at all.. I just wish I had read the feedback first before making my purchase, as I certainly wouldn't have made my purchase knowing what I know now, it would have been far cheaper to buy the ancestry programme again, you at least get 6 months free subscription.

Still waiting for my cashback and now into month five and counting have to say that I am disappointed with Ancestry, whilst the site is pretty good, at present I doubt I will renew, due to my experience of not getting the cashback owed

Extraordinary! 3rd time lucky: cashback tracked promptly & payable in a couple of months. Wish I knew what I did differently this time so I can repeat it next year! Or maybe Ancestry's just paying up now - great result in any case.

Like many others, it would seem, my purchase hasn't ever tracked after over a year. Why do TopCashBack continue to let them con people into thinking they are going to get a high level of cashback when they clearly don't honour it?

Zero cashback for 2 consecutive years - wasn't renewing an existing subscrption either occasion as I'd let them lapse. No use for cashback, but as I've previously stated, great site for genealogy!

Great service from Topcashback but they couldn't get my cashback from Ancestry after 18months of trying. Another failed promise from this retailer unfortunately.

After over a year & a couple of nudges, still no cashback even tracking... Ancestry is a great website for family history, but don't buy a subscription unless you're prepared to pay the full price. I don't know whether my experience is due to subscribing previously - maybe you need a new email address each time?

It took 5 months to get the cashback from ancestry last year with the help of topcash, after a number of nudges. 6 weeks wait so far this year and hope that it doesnt take as long as last year.. come on ancestry, pay up a bit quicker

Paid out the first time I used ancestry, this time it didnt track and refused to pay! I will be going elsewhere when this years subcription is up. VERY disappointed.

Ancestry.co.uk are highly recommended, we've been able to go back to pre 1823 with their services and it's really opened out family tree. Definitely worth taking a look for anyone interested.

Didn't track, was quite difficult to get topcashback to trace as they wanted an order number. As I did the free trial, Ancestry just took the money 2 weeks later without giving any kind of order numbers. I emailed ancestry and they kindly found out some reference codes. Bit of a pain to do, but worth it for the amount of cashback in the end!

Will I ever learn !! For the second time in a row have waited weeks for any sign of a tracking. Not at all impressed with service from Ancestry or, I am afraid to say, tcb in this matter. With several other providers available will look seriously at my choice when current contact expires.

Terrible cashback customer service from both Ancestry and Topcashback. I have had a claim outstanding now for 6+ months. No acknowledgement to numerous nudges. Most expensive subscription made better by 25% cashback offered...but no payment

Once again, this merchant failed to track. This also happened a couple of years ago when I joined Ancestry.co.uk. It took months to get paid last time and no doubt will take as long this time. I not impressed with the failure of this Merchants cashback promise.
