I booked a car hire in March for a week in Portugal in June. The cash back amount showed in pending immediately but after returning last week and checking my cash back account today I noticed that the pending amount has been reduced from just over £7 to zero. I've tried to get Top cash back to chase the reason but anything over 100 days can't be investigated. Argus Car Hire I paid for your car, returned it with no further dents (and it had plenty) and waited 40 minutes at Lisbon airport to be picked up. I am very disappointed and would not use you again, or recommend you.

Awful company. I tried to book a car on two different occasions only to receive a "Decline" email on both bookings advising me that my car couldn't be booked but there was an alternative at double the price. The company shouldn't be allowed to advertise rental cars at these prices if they cannot fulfil the booking. If you're reading this review with a view to using Argus, then if I were you I'd choose one of the other great providers available on topcashback.

After selecting cashback, Argus disappeared from the results in carrentals.co.uk search engine. They must record my IP as clearing cookies or using different browser did not bring them back. Only using a different Internet connection or the TOR browser brought them back and allowed me to make a booking - without the 7% cashback, of course

Booked through Cashback to enjoy the 7% offered. Argus rejected it even before I picked up the car. Lodged an appeal but nothing so far. So see "7%" cash back but dont actually expect to get it. Will NOT be using ARGUS again!

Awarded £6.50 and then rejected by Argus with no reason given. Still showing 7% cash back but roll the dice if you think they will pay up!

Merchant wasn't prompt on arrival. Waited over half hour for merchant to arrive. However vehicle was in top condition, and ran perfectly. Merchant was quick on arrival on return. Therefore 4/5 star rating for them. Very good competitive price, cheaper than many. Would use again. Many thanks.

Cheaper if you bookk via travelsupermarket.com, pay for Megane £237,Using the link price quoted £263, with cashback = £244. Only£7 cheaper after cashback but no waiting and still cheaper. Comfirms to me that these cash back sites seem to have lost there edge compared to what they were a few years ago, I'm finding it increasingly more diffficult to get good deals.

It took 4 days to get the email response from customer service. Becasue their reservation system was slow, I was taken 20pounds pentalty due to cancel within 7days and 10mins. I called them three times and I have to wait for their call back to discuss this issue.
