On the day of departure, the valet parking signs will take you to Cart Park 3, which is just a short walk to the terminal. Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 are multi-storey facilities which are located adjacent to the terminal building.

All three are Park Mark Safer Parking accredited and have CCTV and regular security patrols. Car Park 1 is open 24-hours a day, has lift access to all levels and offers undercover parking for all lengths of stay. Car Parks 2 and 3, meanwhile, are open all day, every day, seven days a week. These multi-storey options are convenient and affordable, with easy access via 24-hour lifts to all levels, plus undercover parking for all lengths of stay.

Car Parks 1, 2 and 3 are just a one-minute walk from the check-in desks and offer more than 5,000 spaces in total. There’s no need to hop on a shuttle bus as you can quickly walk to the terminal. These multi-storey car parks are perfect for those travelling to the airport to pick up arriving passengers or travellers looking for somewhere longer-term to park while away.

Car Parks 4 and 5 are on-site surface car parks which offer a free shuttle bus to the terminal.

These too are Park Mark Safer Parking accredited and offer both CCTV and regular security patrols. Both are open 24 hours a day. Car Park 4 offers longer-term parking, making it the ideal choice if you’re jetting off on a two-week holiday. It’s also close to the terminal, making it convenient, even if you have lots of baggage.

While Car Park 4 is just a few minutes’ walk from the check-in desks, there is a 24-hour shuttle bus if you have children or a fair amount of holiday luggage. The shuttle is free and runs every 15 minutes. Car Park 5 offers parking for all lengths of stay, so is a great choice for whether you’re going on a two-week holiday or a short business trip. It’s cost-effective too, so it’s a good choice if you’re travelling on a budget.

It will take you five or 10 minutes to walk from Car Park 5 to the check-in desks, though there is also a free shuttle bus which picks up from bus stops two, six and seven. All the car parks at Birmingham airport are suitable for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility.

If you choose the multi-storey car parks, you’ll find Blue Badge parking bays on the ground floor, offering lift access to the upper levels. However, all other on-site car parks have Blue Badge bays. Birmingham airport offers 30 minutes of free parking to Blue Badge visitors in the Premium Set Down car park.

If you want to use the Blue Badge parking bays in Car Parks 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 but don’t want to leave your own Blue Badge in your vehicle, you’ll need to present it to the customer service desk on the Premium Set Down car park. You’ll be asked to fill in a form and will be provided with a temporary permit to display in your vehicle windscreen, so you can take your Blue Badge with you.
