More than six million people have fled Ukraine since the conflict began. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they now face an uncertain future.
As mentioned in our previous blog, many organisations and individuals have been showing their support in lots of different ways. Whether it be opening their homes, donating items to be sent to Ukraine or donating monetary contributions to associated charities, it has been encouraging to see so many of us stand together with Ukraine.
We felt compelled to do our bit too. Back in March, we made a sizable donation and pledged to match any donations made by our members to the Disaster Emergency Committee charity. The Disaster Emergency Committee relies on contributions from donors, volunteers and partners to help in times of crisis.
We’re pleased to say that, because of your generosity, we have reached an amazing sum of over £28,000. We’d like to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated their cashback to this fantastic cause.
