Ever since TopCashback was founded in 2005, we have aimed to do things a little differently; with the fundamental aim of helping people with their finances as well as growing a great tech business here in the UK. That is why we launched as the first free cashback website (in the world) to pass on ALL of our member’s cashback earnings. .
Since our very early days we also enabled our generous members to donate some or all of their cashback savings to a charity of their choice, which has raised £100,000’s for charities. More recently we have jointly supported all manner of worthy causes, including the DEC for Ukraine, NHS charities during Covid, Cancer Research and Shelter to name but a few.
But with our new partnership with The Money Charity we hope to spread our reach further, and help even more people across the UK manage their money well. Now more than ever we see the importance of this goal with the cost-of-living crisis and utility bills going through the roof.
Over the coming months you’ll hopefully see more of how we’ll be supporting The Money Charity and what you can do as well to get involved!
Who are The Money Charity?
The Money Charity is the UK’s financial capability charity. They proactively provide education, information, advice, and guidance to people of all ages, helping them manage their money well and increase their financial wellbeing. Their purpose is to empower people across the UK to build the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours to make the most of their money throughout their lives.
Money issues don’t just stop with people’s finances. They are often at the route of a lot of other issue such as poor physical and mental health, homelessness, and other social issues. This is why The Money Charity’s work is so important.
Being a money-saving website ourselves and strong advocates of financial wellbeing, we feel that this charity’s ethos aligns perfectly with our own. To learn more about the Money Charity see here: The Money Charity.
How and who will we be helping?
We’ll be supporting the Money Charity to deliver education, information, and advice on money matters for those in our communities and in education. More specifically, the two areas of The Money Charity work we’ll be helping to provide for are financial education workshop delivered to:
• Children and young people in schools, colleges & communities.
• Adults, in community groups, many of who are amongst the most vulnerable in our society.
