No doubt you’ve read our blog review on the new Samsung Galaxy S4 (if you haven’t, click here!), it’s got some great new features and looks generally pretty impressive. But how does it compare to the ever popular iPhone 5?
Reasons to get the Galaxy S4
- The screen is just great to look at, eclipsing the iPhone 5
- The new Galaxy should be noticeably faster
- Potentially great battery life
- 13MP camera
- 2GB Ram
- 8 Core processor
Reasons to get the iPhone 5
- It looks and feels so good
- Customer Support is top notch
- iTunes and the App store link everything together
- The interface is simple and easy to use
Let’s face it, the iPhone 5 doesn’t really compete with the Samsung Galaxy S4 on specs, even the most avid Apple fan will struggle to disagree with you there, Apple’s iPhone was released before the S4, it’s no big surprise. Technically, Samsung have them beat with their new phone!
What continues to make Apple so popular is their fantastic design; it’s simple, effective and just reeks of quality. When you pick it up, it feels solid, like a bit of kit someone has put some time into crafting. The Galaxy isn’t bad but it feels very plasticy and less durable than the iPhone.
The interface on the iPhone is also great, it’s very simple and you can’t really go wrong, the app icons are obvious and you will always be able to find what you need...
Ok ok, you’ve got me, I own an iPhone! But writing this review has really opened me up to just how GOOD the new Samsung should be. There are definitely reasons for buying both phones, I would compare it to picking the last two players on a sports team. You could pick the sports star, who is faster and just ridiculously good at sports, or your friend, who’s reliable and just “cooler” than the other guy.
Which would you choose?
