You can arrange for up to nine properties to be covered and it will ensure protection for your all of you plumbing and heating essentials.

Choose from four policies which will cover everything from an annual boiler service to drains and home electrics. You can get a Gas Safety Check and Certificate which only covers your boiler, but you can add other appliance checks to your inspection for an additional fee.

Their Gas Safe registered engineer will assess your boiler and help ensure you remain compliant with current legislation, while you will gain online access to it and receive annual reminders. If you need a full electrical inspection, or you rent to the council, they can also provide you with an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).

British Gas Landlord Insurance Features

If something goes wrong in one of your properties, you can opt for repair and cover or a one-off fix.

If you have an issue with your boiler or central heating, they will provide you with a fixed price to repair it and get everything up and running again. If you have a problem with home electrics, give them a call and they will undertake an inspection, while they can also take care of kitchen appliances like washing machines, fridge freezers and ovens, so your tenants will not have to do without.

Finally, they can deal with plumbing issues, with their Dyno team on hand day or night, 365 days a year, to deal with a burst pipe or a blocked drain. For boiler, central heating and home electrical repairs, the cost of one-off repairs will depend on how long it takes, while with repair and cover, they will charge a fixed price of £99, with your ongoing premium either costing £3.85 (home electrical) or £22 (boiler and central heating) a month.

One-off kitchen appliance repairs are charged at £145, while with repair and cover, you will pay £99, with monthly payments starting at £2.35. Drain unblocking starts at £90, while if you have any burst pipes or water leaks, plumbing repairs will cost anywhere from £85.

You can enhance your British Gas Landlord Insurance policy with a range of additional cover options.

Ensure you are protected against accidental damage to your rental property in the event of unexpected mishaps, while if you have had a claim for damage to your property, you can also protect yourself against the loss of rent for up to 36 months.

Employers' liability cover will protect you against any employee injury claims. This is a legal requirement, even if you are employing people on a casual or contract basis. They can also provide contents cover up to £50,000 for items in the house such as furniture, kitchen appliances and fittings.
