Avoid Avoid Avoid. This in an American site with no UK customer service numbers. The amount taken from my credit card was more than appeared on the site due to exchange rate differences and now I have to pay a customs and handling charge of £13.07 to get my goods from the Royal Mail. READ THE SMALL PRINT.

AVOID!!! I now am having to complete endless forms with the US Federal Trade Commission, my credit card company, Trading Standards et al regarding this firm. They are NOT UK based! They will charge you in US dollars despite what that website states a total amount in UK pounds sterling, which means you will pay commission charges to your card company and may get an unfavourable exchange rate. The phone calls will be International calls and obviously very high should you try to call them. They will likely not even send the goods, but if they do you will pay 17.5% VAT (20% from Jan 2011) + a further £8 handling in customs charges to receive them. Yes, it says eurolens.CO.UK, Yes it gives an address in Kent on the website, Yes the whole website displays a final cost in UK pounds and makes no mention of customs charges or being billed in US dollars. And it says Free carriage IN the UK, not free carriage TO the UK. Very underhand and misleading. I have asked TCB to remove this company from its listings as it is fraudulent and misleading. Save yourself the torment. Look at this website before you order: http://www.coolcomputing.com/d/eurolens.html#reviews I truly hope you see this before you make the mistake of giving over your card details to these fraudsters, they have been ripping off European shoppers for several years now, and despite the stream complaints they refuse to make it clear on their website that they are US based and will charge your card in Dollars and that you will have to pay customs charges when your parcel arrives, although the chances of that are very low.... A bona fide company would make this clear, especially after several years of complaints and charge backs from European customers and credit card companies.

WARNING !!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!!! I never read the reviews here and I too have been stung for being charged a different price to the UK Pound prices shown on the site. I had a total price and believed that's what I paid, but the amount charged to my card is higher, plus never received the goods!

I should have check the review first from everyone! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!!! Web sit is giving the wrong info on everything from price to delivery!!! £59 order was charged 61.90 and now custom letter that if i want the lense after 5 weeks of ordering them!!!!!!!!! I'll have to pay £17.77 to the custom! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! They also just said that i'm the only one who is having to pay this custom charge!!!

This company is dreadful to deal with. Customer service is a joke. Lenses take much longer to arrive than is stated and yet more delay as they get stuck in customs and liable to a charge. I bought my lenses from this company as the name suggests a European company.....this company is actually US based. I think the name is deliberately misleading......and when asked about it I received no reply from them. I have dealt with many online contact lens retailers but this was my worst experience ever. My advice, is avoid at all costs.

BEWARE. THIS COMPANY IS US BASED! The website is exceptionally misleading. Eurolens is a USA Based company and because of that, your order is: 1) charged in USD, not the quoted GBP price. (so you're liable for a bank charge!) 2) liable for customs charges (17.5% VAT + £8 handling fee --- so add £25-£30 onto every order from them!) That, and my cashback STILL hasn't tracked. 4 weeks on. Very disappointed.

Just an update......after well over two months of ordering, lenses never received. no tracking number or proof of delivery supplied by Eurolens. I had to file a charge-back complaint with my credit card company to ensure a refund. Missing cashback claim with TCB cancelled by myself (as we should do) as they probably ignored TCB aswell. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Utter waste of time.

The transaction tracked next day. I received my lens very quickly. prescription was perfect and the fit was excellent. I saved 50% off my local optician's price, and I am very happy to receive cashback as well. highly recommended. JK

FAILED TO TRACK, SEEMINGLY FAILED TO RESPOND TO MANUAL CLAIM, FAILED TO DELIVER, FAILED TO ANSWER PHONE, CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD A HIGHER AMOUNT THAN ON THE INVOICE, ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME. SIX WEEKS AND NO LENSES OR REFUND.

This website is misleading, the company is not based in the UK, nor in Europe. Once you have ordered you will receive an email containing US telephone numbers stating that you can expect the order in 3-4 weeks. Now, 3-4 weeks later I have received and card from Royal Mail stating that a Customs charge of £26.50 is payable. The website is misleading and I would argue fraudulent - do not use this company whatever you do!

A very disappointing experience with Eurolens. Although the cashback tracked quickly, I think it took too long to deliver my lenses. The web page for my type of lens stated despatch usually within 3-5 days, but it was four weeks before I finally received my order. They should have said from the start that they had to order them from the manufacturer. It was only after I chased it that I was informed of this. That, together with the extra charge by my bank in commission, means I won't be ordering from them again.
