giffgaff Reviews

“Brilliant network, can’t fault in any way and would definitely recommend this network to everyone and anyone” is what one happy TopCashback member said after buying from giffgaff through us. If you have a look at the other giffgaff review feedback below, you will find plenty of similarly positive remarks too.

Some of the other feedback left by our members includes “great company — best tariffs for my needs”, “the best phone network. Value for money” and “thank you, a network you can rely on, wherever you are. Always a good signal — also fantastic tariff for goodybags”. While it is true some members have reported issues regarding cashback in their giffgaff reviews, others have clearly had no problems at all. Some of the feedback left includes “give it a whirl — super quick payout”, “all straightforward and simple” and “good cashback service”.

My SIM card request tracked on the same day, although it is yet to be confirmed. I topped-up the card more than 3 weeks later, submitted a claim another week later and got the remaining cashback less than 3 weeks after that.

Other Point. ASDA Mobile runs on Vodafone; Tesco Mobile runs on O2; Virgin Mobile runs on T-Mobile/Orange; Lebara runs on Vodafone; Lyca runs on O2 and Orange (so T-Mobile too now). There are only really 4 providers in UK on 3G/2G networks. Vodafone, O2, Orange/T-Mobile, 3. Anyone else just "buys" or "rents" space on these networks. For these other providers to buy/rent space and sell cheaper than the main "parent" provider, they are buying/renting space from, AND still make a profit, only shows how much money the main 4 providers are making from us! Why do so many European providers manage to offer their customers vastly cheaper prices than the UK providers? Shame, it's because WE have been charged too much for too many years! GIFFGAFF offering a PAYG pence/per/minute rate at a third of the price of others (including O2 who own them) and they are still making a profit! Need any more be said! Donald in Edinburgh X X

GIFFGAFF IS OWNED BY O2 - NOT SOME DIFFERENT COMPANY HIRING A NETWORK. For the avoidance of doubt everyone, people say GiffGaff run on the O2 mobile network. That is totally correct, but more... GiffGaff is a wholly owned subsidiary company of O2 - NOT some angelic super different company hiring onto the O2 networks. This is an important point to remember. I have researched this because I am about to jump from VODAFONE for me, the Mrs and the kids. That's 4 VODAFONE accounts about to go down the drain! Even without a GG Goodybag, SMS on V = 12pence SMS on GG = 4pence Big difference! A winner for GG. I currently "PAY" £7 a month for a VODAFONE Family account which links up all our phones for free calls. So the kids can always contact. With GG calls and SMS text messages to other GG users is free (so long as you top up something in a 3 month period). Again - a winner for GG VODAFONE calls are 25pence per minute (up to a max of 75pence if you have Vodafone Stop The Clock). GG is 8pence a minute or free to other GG users. Again a winner for GG! BUT - never be fooled that you are joining some independent groovy company. You are just buying into one of the BIG CORPORATES again, but with a groovy concept. That's my findings. I will update in a couple of weeks as I have heard ACTIVATION has a few bugs! Donald in Edinburgh. x

Tracked after only a few hours but only the £1.01 but still its free isnt it :D I never knew going through someone else's username on the site gave an extra 5 pound credit ! If your wanting the 5 pound extra credit then go through http://giffgaff.com/orders/affiliate/leeb123 and you will get an extra 5 pound on activation but if you just use the normal site you gain no extra credit so its worth doing it. Overall good service and the savings will be good :D https://giffgaff.com/orders/affiliate/leeb123

Great mobile company (uses O2 network), very cheap rates and very cheap monthly plans (no contracts). Remember to get the £5 cashback you need to top up £10 minimum when you activate your sim. I messed this up but I still got a £1 anyway so I'm happy. Plus I'm saving loads more using this network than I did with ASDA.

Tracked at 50p initially, then had another £3.50 track. Not sure if £4 when activated includes the original 50p or not, so put claim in.

Can't recommend them enough - for £5/month you get 300 texts and 60 minutes, this on pay and go, not tied to a contract. Other "goodybags" are great value too - £10 for 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet. For every minute you called you also get a minute onto your balance. If you are thinking of doing this cashback and actually using the SIM, use this link once you've clicked through to Giffgaff : http://giffgaff.com/orders/affiliate/rosshighfield You will get an extra £5 credit, as will I...

I highly recommend Giffgaff to anyone who wants freedom and a cheap and yet highly reliable network service. Now I only pay for what I use. A new paradigm, a truly innovative mobile operator.
