Declined my genuine van insurance policy cashback
I bought the van insurance policy from Go. compare only for the cashback, otherwise, I found a cheap quote from another insurance company. I waited more than 8 months and eventually, they declined the cashback using the following excuses:
The retailer's network agency has declined this as they have been unable to identify that TopCashback were the last referral to this sale.
Unfortunately, several entities can be identified as the last referral, rather than ourselves, including pop-up windows, search engines, comparison sites and voucher code sites to name a few examples. As cashback is essentially the commission we receive for referring your sale, if we are not identified as the last referral to the sale, the network will invariably decline the cashback.
We appreciate that this is frustrating; unfortunately, we are unable to dispute this further, as we are confident in this declined decision due to the robust systems that the network has in place to track the last referral.
All we can advise, to try and prevent this from happening again in the future is to avoid using pre-saved baskets, avoid using voucher codes that haven’t been pre-approved on our site, and ensure that you clear your cookies and cache.
I promised myself I would never buy from Go.compare anymore.
