Here's what we found happened last year:

The H. Samuel Black Friday sale is always a show-stopping event, with huge discounts on everything from diamond necklaces to engagement rings.

When we looked back over last year’s H. Samuel Black Friday deals, we spotted they had up to 60% off diamond jewellery. Watches and gold jewellery were also reduced to as little as half-price. Brands on offer in the sale included Citizen, Forever Diamond, Garmin and Sekonda.

Last Black Friday, H. Samuel were also offering up to 50% off Christmas Special Buys, which meant their sterling silver stone set tennis bracelet was reduced from £62.99 to £29.99. The Forever Diamond 9-carat white gold ring was available to buy for £999, having been discounted down from £1,999 – a saving of £1,000.

There was no need to hunt for an H. Samuel discount code in order to enjoy these savings either, as the discounts were all automatically applied to your basket.

They provide a free click & collect service to more than 300 stores across the UK, with delivery times depending on the store you select. Once you select this option, you'll be provided with estimated delivery dates for the stores near you, though you can expect your item to be ready for collection between four and eight working days.

You'll receive one email once your order has been processed and another once it's ready for collection. If you prefer them to deliver to your home, H.Samuel offer free standard delivery within the UK (except the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands) on orders between £49 and £499.99, which should see your order arrive in 3-6 days (excluding Sundays).

Spend £500 or more and you can benefit from free express delivery which, where possible, will see your order arrive the next day. Orders placed before 2pm Monday-Friday will arrive the next day, orders placed after 2pm Monday-Thursday will arrive in two days, while orders placed after 2pm on Friday or anytime over the weekend will arrive the following Tuesday.

Treat a loved one to a H.Samuel gift card if you're struggling to decide what to buy them.

They can be spent online or in-store and can be used to buy or put towards absolutely anything, making them the ideal present for those people in your life who are simply too hard to buy for. Just choose one of their many gift card designs and have it delivered by post directly to you, having selected your preferred value of up to £200 on a maximum of five gift cards.

Alternatively, for faster delivery, you can buy an eGift card, which can be sent directly to your chosen email address or mobile phone number and can be customised with a personal message. The recipient will be able to go online to check their balance.

You can buy jewellery and choose a convenient way to pay which suits you thanks to their simple interest-free credit options.

Pick from six, nine, 12, 24 or 36-month options, which are all available with just a 10% deposit. Whether you're buying for yourself or someone else, buy and pay back through equal monthly payments, while there are no interest or early settlement charges. There's a minimum spend of £300 for the six, nine and 12-month options and £999 if you wish to spread the cost over 24 or 36 months.

To take up this option, click the interest-free credit button on either the product or basket page and select the radio button on the right of the screen to determine how long you need to repay the amount based on the monthly instalments. Continue with the payment, select the Pay Now button and once your deposit payment has been accepted, you'll be redirected to a confirmation page, where you'll find your order number. You'll be taken to the Hitachi Pay By Finance website to complete the credit application.
