Absolutely appalling service from Halfords. I paid for a product using the collection service, and was informed I could pick up the order from my local store after midday the next day. When I visited the store, the scooter had not been delivered to the branch. I could have forgiven them for this, as things don't always go smoothly, however they had all my contact details and never bothered to let me know about this set back, and therefore had me embark on a wasted journey. I was told it was Head Office's fault that I wasn't informed, couldn't get through to Customer Services on the phone, so I sent them an e-mail. I received an automated reply stating that my enquiry was important and they would get back to me ASAP, but they haven't as of two days later, and I still don't know if the order's even ready for collection. You can buy stuff cheaply at Halfords, but for me it wasn't worth the saving.

This transaction is my only online contact with Halfords. The transaction was declined because there was no record of it. Yet I now receive personalized email marketing from Halfords using the name format that I used in the transaction. So which is it Halfords? When it benefits me the transaction didn't happen. When it benefits you it did. P.S. I declined marketing emails.

Products are offered on a reserve and collect scheme, which checks that products are in stock and to be collected before close the following day. Store very disorganised, had given less valuable goods and charged for ordered goods, luckily I spotted this. It may have been a genuine error but it took nearly an hour in halfords to pick up reserved items.

Halfords have, on a number of occasions now, decided to halt / withdraw their cash back, long after it had been tracked and approved. So I am wary of shopping with them again, and would warn others to think of the overall price (before cash back) and whether they can afford that... I must say I find it despicable that so-called 'professional' companies can dangle the carrot of a cash back reward only to renege on their 'promise' at a (much) later date.

A B S O L U T E L Y D I R E ! ! ! ! ! Having had Halfords mess up in the first place and not got cashback, they then processed a claim for the correct amount - BUT - when it got processed through TCB they recalculated the cashback amount to be paid against the original cashback amount due, instead of the value of what I'd paid them! And in a finally stinging touch ... I see that the miserly amount they were going to pay has now disappeared entirely off my account ... so I'm back to square one! Will never be dealing with Halfords again via any cashback sites.

Spent over 400 quid on cycle carriers and racks didn't track chased and confirmed the purchase agreed to payout, payout was zero pounds and pence, on top of that the lock on the mont blanc carrier falls out has done from day one can i get halfords to sort...?...no bought a lot from halfords in the past don't really now as this is the third cash back issue strike three

I have purchased using Reserve & Collect a few times. When collecting you need to make sure that the till assistant scans their Reserve & Collect paperwork or your Reserve & Collect online reservation print-out. If the assistant just scans the item then in my experience it is unlikely you'll get the cashback paid.

Awful experience! Had to file a missing cash-back claim. That came through - BUT - someone at Halfords (or is it TCB I wonder?) seems to have then copied the due cashback amount as being the original purchase price ... so I only got cashback calculated against the original cashback amount. Hopeless trying to follow this up via TCB as they say once a claim has been processed against an order number ... that's it ... what you get it what you get! Will be submitting complaint to Trading Standards.

Spot on. Tracked quickly and bike is great. Only issue I had was when I went to pick it up, it wasn't ready. They started building it for me after apologizing and I rode away 45 mins later.

Cashback was done quickly. Halford do have some great deals every few months and its worth signing up to halfords newsletter to get them. Their professional tools are first class and well piced. When they are running special promotions you can can get very good deals online and you can get cashback on top.

This is the 3rd time I've had cashback declined by this shower despite successfully completing a Reserve and Collect transaction. I suspect there is no reliable system at their end to correlate completed transactions with TCB claims. I've wasted too much time chasing these claims and wont bother clicking through TCB in future.
