The easy application process also comes in for praise in Hastings Direct Car Insurance review feedback, as does their good customer service, while one member says they were very helpful following an accident. Members are happy with the good rate of cashback offered and the fact that it is paid on time, while one was surprised to receive a reminder that cashback was payable in their account.

Hastings Direct’s four-star rating on Trustpilot is largely down to people saying such things as “cheapest on the Internet” or “brilliant and easily the cheapest by miles”. Customers are also happy with what they describe as a reasonable excess and the fact their policy includes personal accident cover, while another was delighted to get good comprehensive cover at a reasonable price with lots of extras included.

One person who left feedback says Hastings beat their renewal quote by £500, while they are also thanked for always being friendly and helpful, providing a “great price for a young driver” and for the fact it is easy to manage a policy online. Avoid! I am sure did everything right and initially the cashback tracked but was declined in the end. Submitting a claim did not help either. "Your claim has been declined as the network has not identified TCB as the last referral to the merchant’s site and this transaction."

Very poor service. To be forced to wait many months just to be given a declined status for the bland reason "Did not meet terms and conditions", is simply not good enough and requires abetter explanation. I cleared my cookies and did not use a promo code. So why exactly?

After some six months, Hastings Direct declined the claim, providing no reason for this decision. Thanks to the heroic efforts of TopCashBack, it was reinstated and paid. However, I would be reluctant to trust Hastings Direct again.

avoid! waited 146 days to then reject my claim! so i cannot appeal anymore. also charged me extra for supposedly stating a full time job instead of my part time job description. there was not an option for part time job only!

Don't bother!!! States payment within 26 weeks then declines it. As this is over the 100 days you are unable to submit a claim through Topcashback. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!!!

Very poor. Initially tracked and shown as pending. Was informed several months later it was declined although still a Hastings Direct customer for the full term. Informed TopCashback but they were unsuccesful to obtain the cashback. Would not purchase a car insurance with Hastings Direct again.
