My transaction was declined by retailer despite applying through TCB.
Followed all correct steps, cashback got rejected despite application still being processed. Looking at the feedback is a complete con.

Cashback not paid out.
Don't expect the £35 cashback to be paid out for signing up, doesn't track, report missing cashback wait 3 months to be told its rejected, other banks like tesco tracks instantly paid out within a week. Don't bother with hsbc it's a con to get you to sign up.

I now join others that had their claim rejected immediately even before receiving the card, this is typical bait & switch scam.

Be prepared to raise a missing claim
As with other reviews, the cashback was almost immediately declined by HSBC even before the card had arrived. Put a claim in and eventually I received some cashback but not the full amount as originally advertised.

I think the failings are in topcashback, as l needed to complaint.
Top cash back, supposed to record every transaction but l have to complaint and keep contacting topcashback for my money to be paid.
Every transcaction supposed to be their responsability not the customer keep asking for it
