Kickers was born in 1970, when it was formed by French visionary Daniel Raufast who, inspired by the revolutionary spirit of Parisian students, created the brand's first casual boot, which was designed specifically for wearing with jeans.

The radical new style of footwear was made of nubuck leather and included unique features such as contrast triple stitching, engraved eyelets, the logo hot branded on the back of the shoe and the Kickers fleurette. Ever since, Kickers have captured the imagination of music and fashion lovers.

The Kick Hi, which would become the brand's most popular design, was launched in 1975 as the first UK store opened on London's King's Road. With fans including David Bowie, Elton John and Roger Daltrey, it's place in rock and roll history was quickly secured. The late 1980s saw acid house ravers take to fields in red Kick Hi boots, while indie legends the Stone Roses sported them in their video for Fools Gold.
