TopCashback members who have written a review of their experience have given Marriott Hotels an overall rating of three stars. Some of the positives mentioned include the fact they offer a good choice of great hotels and the excellent service provided by staff, with one customer saying they “would recommend this hotel chain to anyone, anywhere in the world”.

Some of the feedback left also makes reference to the fact that the menber's cashback tracked immediately or was paid out swiftly, with one person saying it was the “fastest payout I have ever had. Paid within days”.

Marriott.co.uk also has a three-star rating on Trustpilot, with the four and five-star feedback highlighting the fact the hotel the customer stayed in was in a great location or the staff were very friendly, with one reviewer impressed with the fact that a lady on the phone had spent an hour helping them to book their dream trip to Australia. One regular Marriott customer, meanwhile, describes how they receive a “really great service every time”.

Excellent stay and fast payable cashback
Received cashback on both my stays and it went payable around a month after. Company is surprisingly good considering how big it is. Definitely will use them again more often.

6 months, still no money
Booked for a week stay in May. Still nothing, have raised an issue with TCB and they say the merchant hasn't OK'd the transaction. Based on this will be avoiding Marriott in the future.

Tracked but rejected within a couple of weeks. Genuine stay too. Can't remember the last one that paid out. Really can't be bothered with them to even make a claim, or is that just what they want

"declined as TopCashback not as the last referrer for your transaction"
I found Marriott a bit dodgy as it declines my transactions once in a while with no way to refute. It happens more often with Marriott than with other brands, so just bear in mind next time if you book them.

Cashback didn't track and manual claim declined.
Cashback didn't track, so had to raise a claim. After 8 month claim declined due to the retailer not being able to track TopCashback as the last referrer. No appeal possible, since "this is considered a solid declined reason due to the robust systems in place". Have another manual claim with Marriott waiting resolution for 9 month. Not hopeful...

Never tracks, always rejected due "another network involved"
Been with TCB for decades, know the rules, clear your cookies/browser, before any purchases. make sure anti-virus isn't blocking anything either. My process must work because I always receive my cashback from purchases across a variety of merchants. Marriott Hotels clearly like the traffic to their website but don't like paying for it. Three bookings with Marriott in 2023 and all three declined "due to another network agent being the last involved", there is only one agent I am using and there is nothing on my laptop to say otherwise as cookies and cache cleared and yet Marriott always finds an excuse. Nice hotels, but DO NOT BOOK via TCB if you are expecting cashback you'll not get any. Either Marriott are intentional on these rejections or there is a problem with their back office systems and merchant channels because three times in one year is not a coincidence when everyone else pay out fine.

MArriott CAshback Reject Each Time
Hello. Historically from using topcashback I have submitted requests and 99% have recorded and progressed as expected, including Marriott. Since beginning of 2023 the cashback requests for all retails with exception of Marriott have been as expected. I have followed the same processes with each and every retail, yet I am seeing on every occasion that Marriott are rejecting my cashback claim. I am provided with a generic claim that "Regrettably, your claim has been declined. This is due to the network agency not identifying TopCashback as the last referrer for your transaction" As you can appreciate I follow same process each time and yet Marriott are stating this is not case. I have made a video of processes which I follow from last week to demonstrate this and also I would like a personal response from Marriott on this and to highlight why they are coming to this conclusion. As I follow same process each time then I cannot see how my requests have changed in any form or manner and therefore request that Marriott provide clear evidence of why they are rejecting as a generic claim like this for multiple cashback claims is basically not acceptable from a large organisation such as Marriott with which I stayed in excess of 150 days night last year.

Of all the different hotel chains on topcashback
Of all the different hotel chains on topcashback (Hilton, IHG, Accor and all the other hotel booking websites) Marriott Bonvoy pay the most quickly. Be aware that it still takes at least 1 to 3 months each time, but compared to the rest of the competition they are the fastest. Accor is the slowest by the way, often taking up to a full year.
