With megabusplus, you can travel from Yorkshire to London — by a combination of coach and train. All for great value prices.

Purchase a ticket on the megabus UK website and you can get a bus from Hull, Huddersfield, Bradford, Doncaster or Scunthorpe which will take you to East Midlands Parkway railway station. From there, you will be able to hop on one of their trains, which will take you through to London St Pancras — on the same ticket. In the event of such things as train cancellations and line disruptions, you may have to travel by bus for the entire journey.

If you regularly commute between Oxford and London for work, or if you are planning a weekend away, you can make use of their Oxford Tube service.

Coaches run every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, meaning you can travel between the two cities in comfort no matter what the time of day. What's more, they operate 365 days a year, including Christmas Day. As well as London Victoria, you can also opt to get off at Westfield (Shepherd's Bush), Notting Hill Gate and Marble Arch if it is more convenient for you.

When travelling to Oxford, you can be dropped off in the centre of the city or at Oxford Brookes. While on the coach, you will be able to make use of free Wi-Fi, reclining seats and USB chargers for your gadgets.

When travelling with megabus, you can take up to 20kg of luggage with you, as long as no one item is bigger than a standard large suitcase, with the maximum size of a single bag being 200cm (width + height + depth).

You’re allowed to take two or three bags, as long as they don’t take up more space than a single item of luggage of these dimensions or exceed a combined weight of 20kg. As well as items which will be placed in the luggage compartment, a small piece of hand luggage can be taken on board. This must either fit on your lap or under the seat in front of you. Passengers travelling between Glasgow and London may be charged £5 per item of excess baggage.

They also operate megatrain.com, a low-cost UK rail service which links locations on the East Midlands Railway network.

megabus Gold was a sleeper service which ran between Scotland and London - but this ceased operating in May, 2017. However, if you need to travel between Scotland and London, you’ll find plenty of great value travel options with megabus.

megabus tickets can be booked weeks or months in advance of departure, depending on the service you choose. Just use the journey planner on their website and enter the number of passengers you require tickets for, as well as the departure and destination points and the dates you want to travel on. For last minute bookers, you can even book up to 1 hour before departure.

They try to ensure that all megabus journeys are operated by coaches which have toilets on board.

Most megabus coaches offer free Wi-Fi*, allowing you to work, study, watch a movie or keep in touch with friends and family during your journey.
