Whenever you book online using our On the Beach discounts, you will have peace of mind knowing that your holiday is ATOL protected.
However, they go one step further as, whether you book your entire holiday or just accommodation or flights via the On the Beach website, each part of your trip will be fully protected through their UK trust account. Thanks to this feature, they cannot access any money paid towards a holiday until the date of travel.
Since 2011, they have been paying all of their hotels and transfers this way, and were the first UK online travel agent to put this system in place. This means that any money paid for a holiday, flight or hotel abroad will not be lost in the event that they, or one of their suppliers, experience financial failure, while you will not be left stranded in a foreign country.
You will receive a copy of your ATOL certificate via email when you make a booking. All of their 'Flight Plus' holidays are ATOL protected. A 'Flight Plus' holiday is where you purchase, through On the Beach, a flight plus overseas accommodation and/or car hire from separate suppliers and as separate bookings on the same day or within one day of each other.
You will, therefore, be able to continue with your holiday or suitable alternative holiday - at no extra cost - in the event of On the Beach or one of your service suppliers suffering insolvency. Alternatively, you will receive a refund of the amount paid to On the Beach. Hotel, transfer, car hire and airport parking bookings are covered by the Trust fund, and you will be offered the option to transfer money to another booking or receive a refund.
