Exactly the same as all the rest of you above. Purchased car insurance end of October, RAC not cheapest but with cashback ( £80.00 ) it WAS a good deal. Didn't mention anything about cashback available on annual payment only, so I took out on monthly instalments. After paying three instalments my cashback has gone to zero as well. This IS a rip off if RAC has changed rules of the game. Don't know what to do next. Watch this space. Maybe a little note to Moneysavingexpert might help.

Nothing in terms about paying monthly when I took out car insurance in October 2009. Payment has been pending since then until a couple of days ago when they've reset it to £0 - and I now notice the payment is only valid for those paying annually, which is NOT how it was when I took out the insurance. I'm incredibly angry that RAC are refusing to pay the amount when I took out the policy in good faith and in compliance with their T&Cs at the time. I feel like I'm being ripped off and I will never use them again. Avoid, unless you like the feeling of being violated.

Hi there, We have contacted the merchant in relation to this and we are informed that transactions made before the annual payment criteria was imposed are not being declined due to monthly payments and we would request that members submit 'Missing Commission' claims in relation to these. Kind regards, Top CashBack

Despite several hours and just as many phone calls to RAC insurance, I just cannot proceed with buying a policy. I have RAC membership which should upgrade me to a higher level of cover at no extra cost. Unfortunately RAC admits that there is a software error on their site with the inputting of membership numbers. RAC can insert "MEMBERSHIP1" at their end if you deal by telephone. There is also another error whereby you cannot proceed from the penultimate page. I've tried every whichway to sort this out but have thrown in the towel. So, sadly, I"ve had to relinquish the £70 cashback offer. RAC stated they could not sort out the problem from their end unles I proceeded on the telephone!!!

rip off my cashback tracked fine had a date estimated payable end december 09, that passed then estimated end january 2010, that too passed and now low and behold the whole thing has dissapeared from my account! Totally appalled at their customer service department aswell right from day one. Wont be renewing with them thats for sure and am seriously considering whether its acually worth using this cashback site in the first place.

Appears to be a rip off. Took out motor insurance with the RAC with a promise of £70 cashback only to be told 3 months later i was getting nothing. Contacted RAC customer services who advised me to chase it via this site (which could take several months) as they couldn't help. I then asked about cancelling the policy and was informed that this would cost me at least £35. To say that i'm annoyed is an understatement!

Chris - just read your post, I too took my policy out in November and I double checked that I didn't have to pay the years policy (as I did with the AA break down cover I took out), and it didn't say a thing at that time about paying it all infull. Infact my experience has been exactly the same as yours the payable dates kept being changed and now it's zero. This is false advertising - I too will put in a claim, I'm really dissapointed with the RAC if they are moving the goal posts!

Took out my car insurance with the RAC on 23/11/09 it worked out very slightly more per month than my previous insurer but with the promise of the £80 cashback it was worth me going with the RAC. What a big mistake that has turned out to be. Has been pending since November and when I sent a query to Topcash they said that this retailer stays at pending right up until the payment is nearly due and that it was expected to be paid on 31/01/10 this date passed and then it was mooved to 28/02/10 now my account shows 00.00 and payment has never been received and after contacting Topcash they said that they do not know why my cashback has been declined and that in the terms of the cashback from the RAC it is only payable on annual insurance and not for policies paid monthly although this was not the case when I took my policy out and was not mentioned so are they moving the goal posts to avoid paying out? I have now put in a claim for missing cashback which I understand could take months if I get it at all. One thing you can be sure of though, I will not be insuring with them again next year if this is how they do business! Chris

Prompt referal to my cashback account. If the payment goes in as quick great. Still waiting for previous referal to RAC.

So far, so good. No problems. They do have a rather large £50 cancellation fee though (most insurance companies charge £25 as standard).

Disgusted with RAC. Cashback was pending from 3/11/09 until a couple of weeks and now cashbook reduced to zero. Have submitted an enquiry but will also look into this via legal eyes as this looks like false selling - watch this space.

Diabolical company to deal with, applied for my wife car insuance on 5/11/2009, promised £80.00 cash back, have had numerous emails to topcashback to no avail and not many answers. So phoned RAC service centre, three different persons told me different stories!!!! some said topcashback does not exist!!!! Today 11/2/2010 [3 months later] i have receieved a cheque for £30.00, so much for the £80.00 promised. I am still waiting for answers from topcash back.??? P.HARRIS.

The RAC website came up with an error halfway through when I clicked on one of their information/help icons. It threw me back to the start of entering my details. Also, towards the end, it gives you options to select whether you want legal cover etc. and to select normal cover or it's premium cover. It got the prices confused - quoting one price then asking me to pay a different one on the next payment page until I'd flipped back and forwards a few times selecting and de-selecting options. Overall I wasn't impressed with the RAC's programming! Let's just hope this hasn't affected the tracking.

Still no sign of anything for me from 3/11/09, I submitted a claim and a nudge, nothing, I've lost hope now and I will not use RAC again.
