You can either view fares for the particular day you wish to travel or for the whole month if you can be flexible in terms of the day you leave. The more flexible you can be, the more likely you are to get their cheapest tickets.

Their best fares are always available to passengers who book online, while the fact you will not incur a telephone booking fee will save you £10 if you are taking your car or £4 if you are a foot passenger. Another thing to remember is that the earlier you book, the better the fare.

The best prices and choice of sailings are usually available a minimum of 60 days prior to travelling. Also, travelling in midweek can be cheaper than at the weekend, while going late at night can save you money compared to daytime bookings. Economy tickets are their lowest fares and are great if your travel plans are fixed, Flexi fares provide you with more options, while Premium tickets offer Stena Plus lounge access and even greater flexibility.

Services vary on each route, meaning you should check details before you book. Passengers under the age of eight are not allowed in the Stena Plus lounge on their Belfast-Cairnryan and Belfast-Liverpool routes, while infants travelling between Holyhead and Dublin or Fishguard and Rosslare with passengers who have pre-booked the Stena Plus lounge can enter the lounge free of charge, and there is no requirement to pre-book a seat for them.
