4 months on, cashback still not paid
Having just read some of the other reviews, I am pleasantly surprised that my cashback has tracked and is showing as pending. However, I booked the holiday in June, went on it in August and now in October I'm still waiting for the cashback to be paid. Disappointing.

BEWARE - Cashback doesn't work!
I booked a holiday let through Sykes, making sure all unnecessary browser windows and all other applications were closed down and double checked to ensure the tracking was working properly. I completed my rental booking, which was a large one, with estimated cashback of c.£80 and enjoyed my break. I waited patiently for my cashback, but this did not arrive. I raised a missing cash back request through TCB and whilst they could confirm the date and time I clicked through to Sykes, which matched up very closely to the date & time of my booking confirmation email from Sykes, they rejected my cash back claim!!! This was outrageous, especially when I can see so many complaints on this site. My advice is to not expect cash back from Sykes, and if you do receive, then it's a bonus. I don't know why they are still on here, given it seems the CB does not work for many people - it's certainly having a detrimental impact on their reputation! All very odd!

Do not book through topcashback
This retailer has refused cashback from numerous people. I have had to make a complaint direct to the company as topcashback seem to be fobbed off by them so easily .

You WILL NOT get a cashbak
Sykes Cottages does not honour cash back incentives. The will not track the cashback and even if you appeal they will deny the claim. Don't bother with these.

Amazingly cashback has become payable.
Made a booking in December for a holiday to be taken in June nearer the date the accomodation had the tick rating reduced with a substantial price reduction. I asked Sykes if the price I paid would be reduced to reflect this, I received a snotty reply saying no reduction would be applied. So the morale of this tale is never book early with this outfit it could seriously cost you,in my case over two hundred pounds.Book with Haven they pass on reductions.

Feel conned !!
Sykes were quick to tell me how much cash back i would be getting into my account , only for it to be declined about 2 weeks after holiday stay ! Lodged complaint only to be told “transaction cannot be traced” How convenient for Sykes !!

Easy and quick

Cashback still pending after holiday in May.
Booked a holiday in February which we went on in May. Cashback value is £98.91 and says estimated time to pay 8 weeks. Still heard nothing and TCB state that the issue lies with Sykes.

Slow payout
I've used this company a number of times. They have only paid out when I've paid for my cottage in full at the time of booking (which often isn't feasible to do) and the payout takes way longer than estimated time. Often they wait until after your stay to pay out, regardless of how long this is

Cashback refused again
Have booked my second holiday this year through Sykes using top cashback and again it didn't track and then Sykes refused it again, will book through another company next year.

Suspected tracking problem needs resolving quickly!
Having used TopCashback for a number of years and not had any real problems obtaining earnings I was entitled to, I was confident that any tracking problem with Sykes Cottages would be resolved for me. The 'suspected tracking problem' message on the Sykes page seems to be a get-out clause for them. I have booked two holidays with Sykes this year and both purchases have not tracked even though I went through the same procedures as I do for all online purchases when using TopCashback. This tracking problem is giving both Sykes Cottages and TopCashback a bad reputation and needs resolving as a matter of urgency. I have placed claims for both holidays and I have just heard that the first claim has been declined for the following reason: 'The network has advised we haven’t been seen as the reason this order was placed, usually this means another marketing channel was credited with the sale'. Who is 'the network' and why doesn't the network tell me which other marketing channel has been credited with the sale? I certainly have not received any benefit from any other channel! Having now read similar reviews about this merchant I can see that this is not a new problem and probably needs reporting to the Advertising Standards Authority. This merchant has obviously declined claims amounting hundreds or even thousands of pounds. To my mind advertising a deal which is then not honoured by the merchant constitutes fraud.

Was wary to use after reading reviews. Exactly the same issues for me as others have reported. Did not track, claim submitted, cashback declined. Waste of time.

Cashback not approved
Be very careful with this merchant. I booked a holiday break for c. £2,800 making very careful to ensure that the tracking was working beforehand and only booking through the link. I had my c. £83 cash back rejected, even after providing TopCashback with the details and they could clearly see that I was clicking through to Sykes at the time I made the booking. I've been using TCB for a number of years now, and have never had this happen before, so quite frustrated.

Very Slow to Pay

Doesn't pay out
Seems I'm not the only one. Didn't track, and when opened a ticket, I had to wait until after the holiday, then after ages, has been declined. Same as others, apparently wasn't the last click through. Rubbish, I've used topcashback for years, I know what I am doing!

Didn't pay out despite following all correct procedures
Apparently they decided to 'decline your claim as we have not been identified as the last channel to your sale.' which is incorrect as I ensure I make the purchase as cleanly and straightforward as possible

Very slow transaction
Cash back came through eventually, but after booking in March and staying in cottage at the end of April the cash back didn’t become ‘payable’ until the end of September. I don’t consider this to be a very quick transaction.
