It can be loaded with British Pounds, as well as Euros, US, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian Dollars, South African Rand and other foreign currencies, and be used to pay for goods in shops and restaurants, or to withdraw money from millions of ATMs worldwide. When you purchase or top-up your Travel Money Card, you will ensure that you exchange your travel money at the rate shown on the day.

Alternatively, you can reserve it online and pick it up from one of more than 500 Thomas Cook stores. Their 'What's the Rate' currency calculator, which is available for Android and iOS devices, will allow you to check the latest exchange rates and trends. Lock in the exchange rate you see on the day you reload your card, while the app can be used to pre-order and reserve currency or a prepaid Travel Money Card for collection. You can manage your account online, while an ATM locator is also available. You will also benefit from 24/7 Global Emergency Assistance, which will provide you with a replacement if your card is lost or stolen.

Thomas Cook offer extra reassurance with their 24-Hour Hotel Satisfaction Promise in selected properties where their reps visit.

If you see the logo as part of the holiday description on the Thomas Cook website, it means the Promise applies to that hotel. As a result, if, on arrival, your chosen hotel is not as described, they will either resolve the issue or offer to move you to another hotel of the same standard within 24 hours of you contacting their rep service in person or by telephone.

Although unlikely, if they cannot either resolve the issue or find you somewhere else to stay, you can choose to either take the next available Thomas Cook flight home and get a refund for the cost of your holiday or carry on with your holiday at the hotel you booked and they will send you a voucher for 25% of the amount you paid for your holiday. You can use the voucher when you book Thomas Cook holidays online and stay at one of the hotels where the 24-Hour Hotel Satisfaction Promise applies.
