Refused to acknowledge the booking despite evidence
Due £200 cash back. VRBO said the booking reference was incorrect and they couldn’t trace the holiday that we paid for £5500. The holiday the I left feedback on their website and have evidence that I booked thru TCB. Can see from previous reviews this is a clear pattern of VRBO wriggling out of paying and TCB blaming VRBO saying they can only raise once re a reference number . THE same reference no that they themself provided. I am taking this to the Martin Lewis show to investigate properly .

Didn’t pay out
They didn’t dispute my booking and agreed I completed it but said they couldn’t locate their own reference number and as such aren’t paying out ???????. Tried to dispute it multiple times manually but didn’t get anywhere.

Won't pay cashback!
Despite only using TopCashback, Vrbo [conveniently] claim that another agent was the final referrer so won't pay the £200 cashback on my holiday to Topcashback or me.
Holiday was great - but as a cashback provider, useless. TCb's Customer Service chased the original decline with Vrbo and this was the explanation given by TCb.

Cashback paid out very quickly, so a great experience.
Booked with Vrbo and by the time I came back from my holiday the cashback was ready to be paid out. Outstanding experience.

Don't trust to pay any for cashback - but fine as rental provider
Refused to pay cashback of £150+ due, with no reason given, and neither Vrbo or TopCashback would enter into any correspondence.
Its the usual TopCashback hussle/scam - as soon as cashback amount is more than a couple of quid it gets refused. Don't ever make a purchasing decision on the grounds that you'll get cashback.

Go through tcb and then vrbo give me an order number that isn’t the one tcb need to give me cashback. Asked vrbo for another order number and they say they can’t help me. Avoid.

Good experience on my first villa rental through Vrbo
So far Vrbo straight forward to deal with and given me promised level of cashback on my recent villa rental. Liked being able to purchase an insurance policy for the rental period rather than stump up a big security deposit up front which I had trouble reclaiming from a previous firm who tried to hold on to it. Based on this I will definitely use again. Thank you.
