Poor customer service after sale of poor quality goods.
Having purchased an outdoor furniture set and the recommended 'Winter' cover for this set, we were upset to see that the cover failed to protect the furniture cushions and that the cushions were so easily damaged.
Being only a few days old and not yet used, I contacted White Stores customer services, who were very defensive, argumentative and dismissive of any blame.
Constantly referred to the furniture description, whereas one line recommends not leaving the cushions outside when not in use. They failed to address the issue that they were under their 'Winter cover' for a few days in what was a very light shower.
The Winter cover describes itself as:
1) for a ...completely covered set which is then protected against all weathers.
2) cover for rain protection.
3) your cover will withstand all seasons.
The customer service email quote:
...'the cover's main purpose is to keep the set clean rather than protect the cushions from getting wet'.
I would suggest the positive reviews for this company are for when all goes well. The true reviews are for when things go wrong and the company then is measured on how it handles the issues.
It is a pity that I can not attach pictures of the disgusting looking cushions (less than a week old), that now require to be covered up before use.
