Not only was my car insurance quote the cheapest after using the price comparison sites (AVIVA aren't on comparison sites) but it also had a massive £60 cashback offer. Very impressive. It was easy to buy online and the documents are all on line as well so I didn't have to wait for the mail to receive my certificate of insurance or schedule. Will definitely re visit at renewal time next year.

I joined aviva with 9 years no claims when it came time for renewal there quote was £200 more than the year before yet I hadn`t had an accident and no other circumstances had changed. When I asked for proof of my no claims the indian call center worker stated that aviva only recognise 5 years no claims and so that is all they can verify on your proof of no claims for your next insurer. So I joined with 9 years no claims built up another year so should have had 10 years but left with only proof of 5 years no claims. I wouldn`t recommend the company to anyone. If you have any problems there telephone system is complicated and takes more than 5 mins to actually speak to anyone and when you do get to speak to a human its a indian who can barely speak english and just reads from a script. IN SUMMARY AVOID

Having purchased on line for cashback you then have to contact them to adjust the product to meet your needs. The price and product are at the low end of the spectrum and you are only getting a basic policy for the money you have paid. The website does not offer additions like protected no claims etc. This you pay extra for after you have bought the policy. Not as cheap as it first appears.

I have been a customer of Norwich Union and Aviva for years now and dealing with that lot in India is nothing short of a nightmare. They don't have a very good understanding of the English language and Aviva's Rescue Service is rubbish, I will never use them again as they failed to come out when I needed them and cost me money as I was unable to attend work. I re-newed my insurance last year simply becuase of the mess involved because of an accident that occured one year before. Yes it took over one year to get that sorted! Ridiculas! And the acident was not even my fault! So to avoid any further trouble I re-newed my insurance with them for another year but never again I promise!

Their site is very buggy and will crash whilst you are in completion stage, however it works in the end, cash back is a decent amount, takes £60 off the total insurance price, can not be bad.

I'd like to share my experience of making a car insurance claim. On a freezing winter's morning, I skidded on black ice (council failed to grit) and crashed into a tree and a brick wall. My car was a total write-off. Unrecognisable in fact. Happily, I was ok and no-one else was involved. I rang the insurance company straight after the accident. My only complaint was that I was on hold for 20 minutes before I spoke to someone. After that, everything went very smoothly. The representative told me everything I needed to know about the process, and asked me if I wanted to make a claim knowing it would affect my no-claims bonus next year. I said yes, so then he arranged for a breakdown truck to pick up my car, take it to their approved mechanic, then a few days later they rang me and offered me more for the car than I had originally paid! They then sent me an envelope in which I returned the log book, and the next day sent me the cheque in the post! A very smooth process. And the representative on the phone was from the UK. I just wanted to say this because I heard lots of people voicing their complaints about this company, so on the odd occasion they do something right, I think they should be recognised.

Have used several times and had no problems with cashback. Note if you pay by CC they will keep it on record and automatically use it for next year unless you contact them. (can cause probs if you are getting a policy for someone else). Also cashback can vary alot!

Does anyone know, if a new window screen is needed because of a crack, after paying the initial £65-£75 (not sure what it is exactly) would I loose any of my no claims discount, because I know with Swiftcover it states that you dont loose it, but what it really means is that they DONT give you that years no claims discount, so overall it would cost me one years no claims discount, hope that all makes sense, thanks in advance
