As a budget traveller but not wanting to go too basic as I had my Mom with me, I wanted a good, reasonable and not off the beaten track hotel in London. Hotels UK provided just what I was looking for. Easy to book online, good value, accessible.

Very poor service especially for an internet site- tracked 3 separate payments and then zeroed at the last minute when payment became due. Holiday Inn then cancelled all loyalty points due on the booking because it was discounted and I was charged by hotel and also additionally by this website. I then had to chase the hotel for the refund.
Hotels .com have then not replied to any emails regarding this- strongly suggest do not use unless you are prepared for hassle!

very slow.......had to ring them to confirm my booking as had no correspondence. good price tho yet to find out what hotel is like, dont travel until easter, shall report back on my return :)

Even though I booked the hotel well before I intended to travel (you still only pay on the day at the hotel) the cashback tracked and was payable before I stayed at the hotel. Thing is, I could cancel the booking now without needing to pay and I've already got the money... I won't, but it seems wrong - but good.
