Along with others who have submitted similar comments, I'm still awaiting progress beyond the 'pending' stage for home insurance purchased in mid-November, and which took until mid-January to be tracked. It's now well past the end of January payment date, so I continue to wait for confirmation and payment.

Pretty good value for money considering the quality of policy available, and the claims handling assessments from Which?, among others. Even better value with cashback; this was applied to my account within 24 hours of taking out the policy.

this is an update, i also took out car insurance in dec 08 cashback of £70 is still in pending, estimated payable date 28 feb 09 has now passed will update again if i receive it.

Took policy out in December 2008 - still waiting for it to become confirmed and payable. There was an estimated date of 28th February 2009 but this has passed - fingers crossed it will become payable very soon.

Very competitive quote better than renewal quote from Churchill. Cashback tracked as pending within 24hrs but 2 weeks later cashback was reduced and still pending. This transaction was early Dec08 and is still pending having passed est. payment date of 28 Feb 09. Have grave doubts that this cashback will ever materialise which seems typical of Topcashback performance with car insurance!!

Liverpool Victoria was a competive quote and better than my renewal with swift cover. I would strongly recommend people use sites such as confused.com to get a general idea of how much the premium comes to. The site was easy to use and you could chat on line to a sales assistant who could answer almost any question you threw at her. I was a little mystified with the tracking as it was showing a retailer called YES (who I also obtained a quote for) but the situation seems to have been rectified. I will add further comment when this retailer actually gives me cash back.

Tracked quickly for transaction in December but still pending having passed the 'estimated payment date' of 28 Feb. Getting worried now. This, along with my Swinton car insurance (failing to track) means this is probably my last attempt to use Topcashback for car insurance, it's getting beyond a (expensive) joke now. Time to go back to the 'old' way of just trying to get the best upfront deal direct with the insurer.

I have taken out a new car policy with LV for 2009-10, via their website. The proposal process was easy to complete and the premium very reasonable (especially after cashback is taken into account), even though my diesel engine has been remapped. Documentation was delivered within a couple of days. I dont understand why LV quoted me a higher premium to renew my existing policy than the price I have paid for a new policy.....an aspect of modern business practice that makes no sense to me!
