Had mixed experience with cashback at M&S. All cash back paid within 3 months for clothes and shoe purchases but bought a DVD player online and the cash back amount went to zero. Still unresolved at this point. Would still buy from M&S as I like their products but not a consistent cash back experience.

I am absolutely appauled at M&S's customer services.
I ordered a couple of small items on 3 for 2, but ordered one of them twice by accident. The accidental item was a 4th item and although it was part of the 3 for 2 deal, because I kept the other 3 and wanted to return the 4th item it should have been treated as a seperate thing. BUT NO, they were trying to tell me I could only have the 3 for 2 price for it, which was about £2 less. I was having none of it, and after about half hour arguing the toss with them at the till they managed to sort it out.
I was also completely appauled that they would not allow me to return a pack of drawer liners, and a hand wash/cream set, stating that 'it says they are non returnable at the till points' ...it doesn't at all.
I will NEVER use M&S again, online or in store. I thought as such a large and long standing company that customer service would be high on their list of priorities. But it seems I was wrong.

ended up submitting manual claim to TCB and it took around 3 months to resolve!
granted not helped by making two purchases 2 hours apart but to be fair got cashback for both (eventually).

My expectation was that M&S would be reliable with paying cashback. This was my very first Topcashback transaction - I bought a men's dinner suit on 27th October 2011 - and so far, no cashback registered at all. This is being chased by Topcashback (no complaints there) but I am very disappointed with M&S.

NOTE: I HAVE RATED 5-STARS AS TCB SEEM TO DEFAULT MERCHANT REVIEWS WITH HIGHEST RATING ON 1ST PAGE AND LOWEST RATINGS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, SO YOU CANT ACTUALLY SEE MY ORIGINAL FEEDBACK ABOUT THIS MERCHANT ON THE 1st PAGE!
Ordered a wedding cake last night for £249.00 expecting 3.03% cashback. Great! Order tracking today at 0.00%. Not happy! So I proceed to fill out a claim enquiry form where right at the very last page, tcb state: please note we will not pay out for the following thanks: etc, etc, FOOD TO ORDER, etc, etc.
Now this is very misleading as this should atleast appear at point of sale, or right at the very start of your purchase/transaction before you complete payment, and not on the last of many pages of your enquiry claim after you have ordered, if you ever decide to actually get there.
At no time before I started the original transaction or at point of sale was any exclusion made clear to me!
So unfortunately, this is a 0-star experience for me and a bad deal because of the way you are mislead. You could go elsewhere and got some cashback for the same transaction! So, sorry, but a rubbish deal and rubbish offer and appauled with TCB srategy if it turns out I get £0.00 cashback!
