I moved from talktalk and have been with plusnet for a few months now - great cashback which tracked quickly but did take longer than usual to become payable (better late than never). I have had no issues with plusnet's service and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of joining - please use my referral code (riley6). Thankyou.

I've been with Plusnet for 6 months now, and have found them fantastic. download speed much better than with BT, and when I did have a fault they were quick to respond and helped me fix it too (it was a new laptop set up issue). No overseas call centre with scripted answers! Midland66 joined at a bad time - just happened to coincide with Plusnet changing their evening call times from 6 pm to 7 pm - yes, disappointing but it's what all the companies are doing. The current deal of referrals is good for both parties: new subscriber and existing referror. 3 month free broadband. I have read a couple of notes today regarding plusnet before I wrote this review. I don't usually write reviews but felt it was the right thing to do after the service I received . I actually signed up several weeks ago and took advantage of the topcash back offer. The deal tracked straight away so hopefully £38 will be due shortly. I have nothing but praise for plusnet my switch over today was seamless. I received a text message to say my phone line had been switched then I plugged in my new router and no here I am typing away. Broadband speeds are a little slower but on 7Mb but i am expecting them to increase once everything has settled down. After service I am yet to test fully but the experience I have had to date and been exceptional. I moved from 5 years with Talk Talk bundled line. I was basically sick of the call centre and being phoned up every month to increase my package even leaving was painful experiencing a 40 minute telephone call stating why I should not leave. Well I took the step and it was painless. I also used a a code at check out "option 4" it gave me 4 months free broadband give it a try. If not and if you appreciate my feedback you could always use me as a referal please use paulrwilson in the username section. I believe you will gain somthing but so will I

Potential Plusnet customers should be made aware of the way this company operates. Having signed up to their Broadband service with a 'Talk Evenings and Weekends' home telephone plan, which at the time was better value than my existing service, I then only received 4 months of service at the price level at joining. At this point they removed entirely the inclusive international calls that came with the plan and changed the time for free evening calls from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. In addition they then increased the line rental charge to be more in line with their competitors. This blatant mis-representation of what I was signing up for sadly is not illegal, however it is certainly sharp practice, and whilst not technically fraudulent it is difficult to see what else to call it, ie enticing customers to sign up to a service then completely change the elements of that package so that it barely resembles what you signed up to. Attention should also be drawn to the fact that whilst Plusnets' value broadband option seems attractively priced usage is in fact capped and any usage over your limit incurs further charges. And in any case, as I discovered, you are unlikely to enjoy the price you signed up for for very long. Plusnet are not the low cost solution they pretend to be and their tactics should certainly be against the law. You have been warned.

Installation and setup OK, but be aware it take a LONG time for them to send someone out - was more than 4 week wait for me in West London, which seems excessive. Now 12 weeks since order and cashback still isn't payable. Service is OK, call centres are often snowed under.

This is a DREADFUL company. First they totally messed up my transfer, after three days without broadband (one of which was spent on the phone!) and having spoken to several operators one told me that they has 'messed up' at their end!! Today I received an e-mail telling me they were to take £99 from my account! Another hour or so on the phone - guess what? they 'messed up'! STAY AWAY!!!!!

You can currently obtain 3 months free broadband when signing up to plusnet. Just to clear up any confusion that may be out there........ The only requirement for new plusnet members to benefit from this 3 months free offer is to go to www.Plus.Net/refer, use promo code "refer3" when signing up, and enter somebody's username in the "referred by" box. It is entirely up to you whom you choose to nominate as your referrer - there are many options on this forum (some more worthy than others - you make up your own mind!). If you choose to use mine, my username is grimnog. I suggest that any new signups post back on here with the name of the person they used as referrer so we can spread the benefit and stop the most demanding posters from hogging all the benefits!! as far as cashback experiences are concerned, all went smoothly for me and i've been a happy plusnet customer for many months now. Great internet and phone provider with call centres in Yorkshire. Good amount of cashback here can be better than the 3 month deal - but you need to work outs whats best for you either way if you use me - martinm1 as a referrer then i get upto 50p off my broadband once youve started with htem. Customer service is very good. You can then start gettiing referrals to reduce your cost when your online.

great internet and phone provider with call centres in the UK! great amount of cashback from here to which is usually better than any 3 month deal. they also do a referral scheme for existing members. so if you put in someones user name in whilst you are signing up they can recieve a small amount off thier bill each month. my usermane is bnightingale if you add this when signing up i will get 50p a month discount. you can then do the same when your online. it costs you nowt......amny thanx and plusnet are fab

Bought 'Broadband Plus Homephone Package'. Cashback tracked and confirmed okay, tracked as 2 separate amounts of £28.28 and £10.10, took about 13 weeks to have the money in my account.

Had to submit manual claim which took two weeks. Broadband enabled within seven days, phone will be done in a few days. All in all a quick and efficient service and no need to make any phone calls to Plusnet.
