Money Builder Select (ISA)
I purchased this project in January - they take the DD without fail and have sent me statements. The cash back was an issue initially refused as I may not have provided them with enough info. I made sure I kept tracking and provided them with enough info including my policy number. Just before the end of Oct - they said "A transaction which seems to match your claim has been added to your account." - I almost gave up on TopCashback, - I realised that patience is a virtue - they had to do their investigations. Cashback received

Excellent!
I opened an ISA back in January 2024, paying in £50 a month. After a few months, I was sceptical on being paid correctly given the various negative reviews. However, about a month back, the cashback status updated to confirmed and the £200 has turned payable yesterday. A nice incentive, as well as some savings from the past year!

Cashback declined and wrongly tracked.
Hello, my cashback for Scottish Friendly tracked as the moneybuilder select ISA when I clearly signed up by using the select ethical ISA link on TCB; this therefore caused my cashback to decline. Disappointed, as I was looking forward to investing with them and having the cashback be rewarded.

Refused all cashback even though all T&C's were met
I was owed £315 after investing as per their T&C's and meeting all requirements listed on the page when taking out their ISA.
They stated I had did not meet T&C's (even though I had and they could not specify which ones were missed). Then they stated that I received a free gift - I did not.
Then they said that the ISA I took out was not the correct type (again not specified in their initial T&C's). I would avoid at all costs!

Easy To Save For A Rainy Day
Taking out policy with Scottish Friendly through TCB was so easy. There was a wait of around 6 Months for Cash back. This wasn’t a problem as I was in no hurry. I have recently bought a new TV partly paid with Cash Back. Totally delighted.
The policy will be handy in the future, it’s only £50 a month, a good decision and I am happy I took out the policy. Would thoroughly recommend.

paid a lower amount
I waited months and months for this and in the end they only paid the smallest amount, even though my montly investment qualified for a lot more. Needless to say I am transferring out immediately.

You won't get any cashback!
Been waiting patiently for nearly a year, and now they have declined the cashback for "not following the terms and conditions". They have happily taken my money every month for the investment, it tracked straight away, but clearly they do not want to pay out the £310 I am due. Robbery! I would not have invested with them if it were not for the cashback, so please be warned and proceed at your own risk.

Refused all cashback even though all T&C's were met
Refused all cashback even though all T&C's were met. Said I had used a voucher code (I had not), then said I had not met T&C's (and when asked which ones they could not confirm). Then cam back saying they are not regulated by any governing body with regards to cashback.
Overall, they had over £500 of my money over the space of 6 months, and wriggled out of £315 cashback payment. AVOID!

6months and still waiting...
It didn't track, customer services put my claim on ice until 6 months had passed and now been told it could take more months to settle. So far this has bit been worth the hassle...1 star review for now, will update on completion if that ever happens.

AVOID! Do not honour what they advertise
Opened an account last year and continued to fund as stated. Seemed like a no brainer.
The cashback tracked ok but recently showed as declined so have had to contact customer support as more than 6 months have passed (as per SF's terms you had to wait 6 months anyway). I won't hold my breath of it ever happening.
As an investment account, it's performed terribly compared with the likes of HL or Nutmeg. And the real kicker is you can't withdraw your money for 5 years without a £50 penalty. You must leave £50 in the account for 5 years or lose £50 anyway. Unbelievable.
As an extra bonus, don't be tempted to set up extra helpful 'pots' when opening your account. These are actually separate policies and you need to leave £50 in each for 5 years (or lose the £50).
Horrendous deception and I look forward to them being removed from this site.

Finally got paid
This was quite a ride, after much gnashing of teeth and TCB customer support I have now received the full amount due. Payment came in 3 separate instalments at 3 different times.
Took a lot of effort, which was
very frustrating.
Glad it's over, good luck everyone
Glad It's over.

Received 33% of the £310 CB
After 9mths of CB drama, I received 2x £50 from the £310 CB that was the original deal. The rest £210 been sat as confirmed for 2mths..yup 2mths.
This is the most frustrating, offer I have ever had.
Just how long does a confirmed payment take to move to payable.

Surprise not.
Soon after purchasing I was somewhat surprised the amount pending was £50 instead of the £310 that it should be. I contacted TCB who submitted a claim, only to then receive an answer after 6 wks that this merchant does not accept claims. I was reassured it would uplift to the correct amount once confirmed. Fast forward 8mths..it was confirmed and payable but still at £50. What is even more mysterious is that there was never a £50 cb offer, so how £50 was noted is bizzare. Anyhow, I of course resubmitted an enquiry tkt, and will need to wait upto another 3mths for an answer.
This CB on paper looked a no brainer, in reality it's completely bonkers.

7mths still waiting
7 mths since signing up and paying in every month to Widows. Cashback still pending at £50 instead of £315. I hope this is worth the wait. This is for those with patience.

Got here in the end
Cashback reward was for saving £50 a month for a year. I had a standing order, but noticed a few months ago the cashback had been decline - no reason given by TopCashback or the retailer. I queried this with TopCashback and, again with no communication or reason given, the cashback was reinstated. It was supposed to be payable after April 1st. I got it on May 31st. Communication with TopCashback is frustrating- they answer messages in their own sweet time and there is no phone number. Scottish friendly gave me zero communication, no explanations, nothing.

Stopped payments due to personal circumstances changed and they declined
They declined my cashback.
On top of that, when I went to withdraw my money, they charged me £50 to close the account.

Refused to pay the correct amount.
I should have recieved £262.50 in cashback but was only played £84
They lure you in with cashback rates they have no intention of honouring. Avoid.

I met all Ts&Cs but my cashback was declined 8 months later
I am really surprised by all the positive reviews. Actually, these good reviews were the reason I signed up for a cash ISA with Scottish Friendly as everybody was singing praise of them. I opened my ISA 8 months ago and I met all their Ts&Cs. Shockingly, they declined my cashback after 8 months without giving a reason. I submitted a missing cashback claim but I am not holding my breath. Topcashback are good in their support but I know they can only resubmit my claim and can do nothing more. The investment did not make any money, which I understand due to the current financial situation, but Scottish Friendly add insult to injury by charging £50 for withdrawing money despite the fact that they have not held their side of the bargain. Now, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Keep this in mind before you invest with them.

Paid out eventually after 10 months but value of isa dropped £90+ after £1000 of contributions. Glad it paid out the £330 otherwise i wouldn’t be happy.
