Bought sony laptop about 6 months ago ,still haven't recieved the cashback.If you, guys buying laptop through topcash back and thinking to get cashback.Please donot bother .Sony doesn't give you penny back .Instead go to pc world or tesco or other retailer to buy and get cashback for same laptop.I have a very bad experience with sony company .So don't go direct with them.

Ordered a laptop in January 2011 and still awaiting for the the cashback to be paid. I am also very disappointed with the laptop, the fan makes an awful noise. I never had this problem with other laptops. I was expecting more quality from Sony, The laptop wasn't cheap.

Its been 3 months payable and still no sign. It looks as though their recent cashback service is not as good as it was before. I have rated them poorly as this is the worst retailer I have dealt with regarding cashback. I just hope some more negative comments might inspire them to do something

No problem tracking but very slow paying. I ordered my laptop early december, still dont have cashback. Ex VAT wasnt listed then but the cash back amount was still ex vat. Plenty of other retailers selling the same. Wouldnt use again.

I ordered a Vaio laptop in August 2008. I was due cashback of £27.45 which never tracked. Despite submitting a claim, TopCashback has never been able to verify the cashback nor provide a reason that Sony have not paid. I only just received a note from TC saying there is nothing more they can do.
I am happy with the laptop generally although the battery no longer charges properly. It lasted about 2 years and now on a full charge only gives me 20-30 mins of use.

Very confusing as to whether Sony Style (the cashback provider) incorporates Sony Centres (the former seem to do only customisable laptops, the latter seem to do the pre-built laptops. all on the same site confusingly). A telephone worker told me they were separate companies. This is material to any purchaser's interests because custom build precludes the protections of the UK's distance selling regulations. It's also material because two companies sharing the same web portal, means one might be misled into thinking one will get cashback for purchases, which are actually not eligible: a 'bait and switch' marketing tactic.

Cashback only available on ex-VAT price which wasn't clear on retailer page. Also, I ordered an accessory for my MP3 player and expected 8% under the accessory price. What I got was 5% the MP3 player cashback. I feel cheated on this occassion :-(
