I was very happy with talkmobile's customer service: (1) in my experience I have never needed to wait on the phone for longer than 2 min; and (2) one can also drop in to any of the Carphone Warehouse shops in the UK to be serviced. I bought one of their SIM-only plans where I requested to port my current number, having given them a PAC code. The SIM arrived in three days, by which time it was also expected for my number to be ported over, which did happen. So I popped in to my local Carphone Warehouse store right away - they apologised for having provided the wrong type of SIM (apparently with talkmobile you are given a SIM without a number if you are porting your current number onto it) and replaced it immediately. I was asked to call Customer Service to help with the port, which I did and two hours later I was happily chatting away through my new SIM deal. They also walked me through setting up my internet/email connectivity so everything was working. I can't say I lost much time. Of course a friend of mine who bought the same plan did not face this and everything worked straight away. I can understand sometimes a wrong product may be sent, but it is the speed & efficiency of the after-service and its ability to rapidly rectify a mistake that counts regardless of mistakes made. Viewed in that light, I would rate talkmobile as outstanding.

I'm happy with the phones and the service from Talk Mobile and would recommend them for affordability. However, we bought the phones in Feb and still haven't had any cash back, so wouldn't recommend that you incorporate the cash back incentive into any comparision calculations.

I cancelled my order (24 month contract) as they required £100 upfront for my order to process, which they would refund after 6 months. There was no warning of this additional cost whilst ordering online. They also had the cheek to text me to say that i had to call them about my order, which cost 10p a minute. My credit rating is fine and always has been. No valid reason was given for this additional cost. I was confused and had a bad taste in my mouth (could of been the out of date colslaw i had earlier but that's not important right now) Anyhow i cancelled my order and will seek another provider.

Cashback tracked and paid with no problems. Happy with customer service contact when cancelled. Tried 30 day sim (for 3 months)to check service quality. Have since taken out longer contract on TalkMobile.

Product fine, good,network coverage, SIM only package £8 per month. There was a short delay sending the SIM out - my number had ported two days earlier. CS ADVISED to call into local store to get a SIM card. I am beginning to get concerned about cashback though... The transaction tracked within 24 hours but hasn't moved to confirmed status after three weeks.

A good retailer. Vodafone signal is good, Talkmobile prices excellent. Cashback worked well, although payment did take a while, but this was expected, and practically exactly on the average time given. Worth noting that if you give them your PAC code when buying a phone, you wont get a temporary number as some other operators do, meaning the phone may not work for a few days, as the courier was quicker than the number transfer in my case.

This is the second sim and contract purchase I have made from Talk Mobile. The first order tracked fine but I have yet to receive my cash back. My second order did not track at all and I should have received £35. Still waiting. Topcashback are chasing this up for me but I am still chasing claims owed from several years ago from other retailers.

I ordered a smartphone on a 24 month contract for £12 a month. Cashback tracked at £35 after about an hour. I waited 2 weeks for the phone then phoned them up to see why I hadn't received it and was told that they had cancelled the order because I had made a mistake with my bank details, although they didn't know what my mistake was and couldn't explain why they hadn't contacted me to sort out the mistake or tell me that they had cancelled the order.

I ordered two SIMs. The first tracked OK, and the cashback amount was correct. All was well and then the cashback amount went to zero some time later. The second didn't track at all. I have logged queries with TCB for both. I have yet to see any cashback for either of these purchases. It has now been over 5 months. This has been my only bad experience with TCB.

Ordered a SIMple plan SIM card in August 2011, tracked quickly and became payable in October 2011. I chose the £8 per month tariff so the cashback received has pretty much paid for the first 3 months! I am not sure how long I will stick with Talkmobile as it is a little annoying not to have calls to check voicemail included in the tariff's inclusive minutes. Otherwise very good value and service.

I am over all happy with talkmobile the only downside there was one weekend when Vodafone had network issues and talkmobile customer service team was trying to blame the SIM. On a note about the cash back I signed p for a £12 24 month contract which too a month to track (see below) I thought I would not see the cash back this side of Christmas as the deference between placing an order and it becoming tracked to my surprise when this week it showed the correct amount being payable. would I recommend talkmobile yes I would unless you want a BlackBerry as their BB contracts are rubbish

Placed order online and had no issues with tracking. Was phoned up the next day by Talk mobile and asked for a deposit of £100. Phoned several times over the next 14 days to ask where my phone was but nobody wanted to take ownership of the problem (presumably they fall over themselves if its a sale). Turns out that for some reason they sent the phone to the wrong address, and even though they admitted fault would not return my deposit. One month later and two weeks after cancelling the contract and been promised my refund within 8 days, you guessed it still no sign of it. I am intending to take the issue up with Trading Standards as this outfit is absolutely shambolic and should not be trading. Definitely one to avoid.
