I have made 2 purchases and recd cash-back without any problem but both orders where missing 1 item.. They don't tell you if an item is not sent, you have to complain before they do anything. I received money back for the first item and eventually received the second one. Items are always advertised as in-stock even if they are not. Also beware as some books are cheaper in store than on-line

Order I placed 2nd September 2013 didn't track, so lodged claim. Became payable approx 2nd February 2014. Dispite having to wait 4 months for cashback, the goods I bought were all great value, the money I saved on just 1 book was equal to cost of whole order and I received 4.43 cashback. I will use The Works again.

I have placed two orders and neither have tracked for cashback so I have had to lodge claims, which is very disappointing. It's a shame as The Works were very good and sent me out a product that was missing from an order very promptly after I contacted them by email, so their customer service was good in this instance. However the lack of cashback is letting them down in my opinion and I am not sure if I will place any further orders. I will come back and comment again if it gets resolved, but in the meanwhile I would advise not to place an order and expect to get the cashback!

awful customer service. No phone number to call only online forms which get ignored. Half my order (made in early December) did not arrive. Enquired in early Jan (couldn't earlier as delivery address was the school I worked at and was closed over the holiday so needed to see if it had been delivered) was told the book was out of stock when I ordered it back in December yet according to their website it was still being sold and was in stock in January a month AFTER I ordered it..

I placed a large order for my office with the works. I was told to wait upto 14 working days.At the end of 14 working days I sent an email to ask where my order was to be told that the entire order had been cancelled, their explanation that it was "due to a stock error" and that I could have a refund within another 48 hours. I had received no email, no explanation and was totally disgusted with their behaviour. Effectively they kept my payment in their bank for over 3 calendar weeks and provided nothing. I will try them one more time just to see if any company could be so incompetent to fail so abysmally on 2 out of 2 attempts.

Placed an order on 30 November which included Christmas gifts - not rec'd by 10 days later so I contacted them to ask why/ if there was a delay - 2nd parcel dispatched & rec'd within 1 working day - FAB!!!... Not really, 3 items missing with no advice as to why - DISAPPOINTING... No satisfactory response to my email request for refund for non rec'd items - claim submitted via Paypal No cashback tracked either, despite 2/ 3 nudges

Very poor, did not track cashback and got someone else order.. Still waiting after 3 weeks for them to arrange collection.. I don't think they really know what they are doing when it comes to online shopping to be honest..

Ordered a book as a gift for Christmas. Placed the order on 16 December and specifically forked out £5.99 for 1-2 day express delivery to guarantee my order would arrive before Christmas. By 18 December I still had no email to confirm my order had been dispatched, let alone have it on my doorstep when I arrived home. I contacted the company, who informed my order was dispatched the previous day (17 December) - nice of them to inform me! And asked me to confirm it had arrived on 18 December, which it obviously hadn't. Still waiting for my order, requested a refund for the expensive delivery cost (which was not fulfilled) but they made no comment. Will not be ordering from them again, will just stick to Amazon in future (whether or not cashback is available).

I had to lodge a missing cashback for my order, despite doing everything through top cashback! Im afraid I wont be using the works again! Everything else they did was fab I just wish they had behaved and given me my cashback without me having to fight for it!

Now been waiting 8 weeks for Snap and Save offer, did not track and so no payment. Ordered again, still did not track back. Hoping Top cash back can sort it, would not use again after this experience.

3 separate orders from the works through topcashback. despite the usual notification that visit recorded, not a single order tracked. DO NOT RELY ON THE CAHSBACK AT ALL ON THIS ONE !!

I have never managed to get a Code to work, and the cashback doesn't track - and there is no follow up from TopCashback.

My experiences with the Works don't reflect the statistics. Codes didn't work, and I have had cashback failed to track. Their customer service is nil, though I guess at their prices they are running everything on the cheap. My advice is don't rely on the cashback. They say that for everything, of course, but it's only the Works (so far...) where I have been let down.

Awful time with The Works. Initially, I had a discount code that was not applied then one of the items I ordered had to be cancelled as the stock availability online was incorrect and then finally one of the items was missing from my order! To top it all, the cashback tracked but seems to be taking forever to be confirmed. Decided to give them another go today and again the discount codes will not apply. I will happily buy the odd thing in store but will never use the website again.
