They cannot track properly, especially if you buy more than one product at a time. They will decline perfectly legitimate claims. Don't even bother wasting your time submitting a manual claim because it will just get ignored.
Dell are worse than useless for cashback. I only rated them 5 stars to get this at the top of the list as a warning to others.

Bought an overpriced charger for my Dell Ultrabook (no compatible part available anywhere else!) but purchase failed to track. A year after purchase and 11 months since Topcashback referred the claim to Dell and I'm still no closer to getting my cashback - not impressed!

Bought a laptop in February 13, cash back failed to track. I opened a claim, which is still ongoing and is still waiting for Dell to respond, 8 months later. Wouldn't bother using again.

Cashback declined on a genuine transaction. Topcashback and Dell not prepared to investigate. I will be going back to another cashback site who are more reliable than Topcashback and I will not be buying from Dell in the future.
I have only given 5 stars to ensure review appears at the top of the listings.

No cashback received on purchase despite being genuine and all information sent. Cashback was for a significant amount as on an expensive gaming computer. Took 3 months for them to respond through Topcashback and decline. No information given at all as to reason. Very unsatisfactory.

Just found out that Dell have not honoured my cashback claim, sent them a bill showing a purchase of a laptop of over £500 and have declined the claim with no explanation what so ever, wont be using them for a cashback deal

£30 Cashback claim was refused for no reason. I wish there was some prior warning about Dell's reluctance to fulfill their part of the bargain, it has obviously happened so many times for so many people (probably many more who didn't leave a comment here) it makes one wonder if something dodgy is going on. We have genuine claims and they are being refused! I wonder what Watchdog would have to say.
TCB should provide stats as to what % of claims are met

did everything legitimately, Dell have declined my cashback, buyer beware you will probably not get cashback, someone else benefits its definetely not you. Please if you dont want cashback then use Dell, if you do then look at another company. Very dissapointed.

Purchased mid October 2012, no cashback logged. Submitted claim and supplied all the information requested by Dell. Prompted Topcashback via nudges and finally got a response 16 May 2013 that Dell had declined.
The comments from Topcashback are "I’m afraid that the merchant has taken the decision to decline your missing commission claim, no information in helping to clarify as to why this decision has been reached has been provided but we would like to provide some possible reasons…"
I purchased frpm Dell several years ago nd went through the same experience.
I appreciate that cashback is effectively a bonus, but Dell are a company I will not bother with in future.

Dell Customer Service appalling. They declined my claim for listing a whole load of generic reasons (already claimed, not completed online, not purchased through TCB etc etc), none of which was valid. Even TCB agreed with me and re-submitted the claim. Now Dell have again declined the claim. My purchase did not track (but none of my purchases ever track) - I have again complained. I think however they have decided not to honour my claim "just because they can". Buyer beware - Dell does not play fair.

Purchased laptop Dec 2012. Tracked but never paid out even after multiple nudges.
Nothing too loose by using the link to try and get cash back through TCB however don't factor the cash back into your budget as you may be disappointed. No reason for why cashback wasn't given.

Bought a laptop in September 2012. Claim didn't track so submitted it manually. Keep sending nudges to TopCashback, but 7 months later still no sign of a resolution one way or the other. Based on other comments here, I've pretty much given up on ever receiving my cashback. Very disappointed with the cashback experience, but love the laptop - it was a total bargain, so I should be happy with that.

Absolutely disgraceful.
Bought a new computer going via TCB. Nothing showed up in my earnings. Submitted a missing TCB claim and as usual (full credit to TCB) they had tracked the transaction. 7 months have now gone by and Dell have not honoured the transaction and have been allowed to decline without reason.
Have suggested that TCB stop dealing with Dell as many others have had this issue as well.
Will not deal with Dell on any level again.

Really disgraceful cash back experience - after providing Top Cash Back IBN number way back in November to trace this transaction and offering to give delivery note - am told today that the cashback has been declined with no reason. I find it hard to believe that cash back claims can just be closed because the merchant says it has declined the payment and that no reason is given.

The above purchase from Dell Products was made online via the topcashback website on 18 August 2012, and 'Missing Cashback' claims submitted by topcashback to Dell's affiliate network on 5 September 2012. Two claims were raised, to separate the purchase of two Inspiron and one other Dell product due different rates of cashback discount.
No response has been received from Dell's affiliate network to date by topcashback, and I write to request that after five months Dell's Customer Relations Department now take responsibility for contacting your affiliate to resolve this matter, the sums due to me totalling £**.**. I took great pains to ensure that my entire transaction went through the TopCashBack Site. I had to wait six months (sent a nudge once a month) and was then told that my claim had been denied - no reason given. Very, very poor service. Beware when dealing with Dell - as the Cashback made them very competitive compared to other brands and was the only reason I chose them.

Really disappointed with Dell. Bought a very expensive laptop (over £1k) in March 2012 and expected around £100 cashback as there was an improved promotional rate on at the time. The cashback never tracked; I raised a claim. Had to chase it every few months. After 10 months and another chaser email from me, I'm told the cashback has been declined for no reason. Totally shafted. All my other transactions (for small amounts) track ok. 0 stars if I could.

Steer away from Dell. I bought a purchase of £1600. They delivered the product and cashback was shown, then a couple of days it was declined. Someone is out there to take your earned cashback by declining it, I did not do anything untoward.
I have submitted this to TCB lets see what they say, will keep you updated but looks like a con at the moment from Dell
