Really disgraceful cash back experience - after providing Top Cash Back IBN number way back in November to trace this transaction and offering to give delivery note - am told today that the cashback has been declined with no reason. I find it hard to believe that cash back claims can just be closed because the merchant says it has declined the payment and that no reason is given.

Customer Relations Department Dell Computers Dell Innovation House Cherrywood Science & Technology Park Cabinteely Co. Dublin Ireland Dear Sir / Madam Customer Number GB******** : Order Number ********* : 18 August 2012 The above purchase from Dell Products was made online via the topcashback website on 18 August 2012, and 'Missing Cashback' claims submitted by topcashback to Dell's affiliate network on 5 September 2012. Two claims were raised, to separate the purchase of two Inspiron and one other Dell product due different rates of cashback discount. No response has been received from Dell's affiliate network to date by topcashback, and I write to request that after five months Dell's Customer Relations Department now take responsibility for contacting your affiliate to resolve this matter, the sums due to me totalling £**.**. The complexity of the issue and supporting documentation lends itself to a written rather than online or telephone complaint. I attach copies of my original order confirmation and communications with topcashback. I trust Dell will be able to resolve this matter shortly in order to secure my future custom. Yours faithfully ... and then the haggling begins via Dell's online Customer Services team ... - We'll update you in up to 72 hours - This has nothing to do with us. We refer you back to the intermediary - Yes it has - please sort it - Our Marketing Team knows nothing about this offer - That's odd - there's a similar offer available today - look: here's the link - Oh! Do you want a little bit of money as a goodwill gesture? - No - if you've conceded the point I'll have all the money thankyou. - Oh! Alright then. - Cash received ... plus a bit extra ... refunded to credit card. Persist and you'll win!

Dell are refusing to pay cashback for no apparent reason

I took great pains to ensure that my entire transaction went through the TopCashBack Site. I had to wait six months (sent a nudge once a month) and was then told that my claim had been denied - no reason given. Very, very poor service. Beware when dealing with Dell - as the Cashback made them very competitive compared to other brands and was the only reason I chose them.

I purchased a Dell Inspiron laptop back in october 2012. My cashback did not track. I lodged a claim, and it was rejected. I followed everything to the letter, yet an explanation was not forthcoming. This is fraud! Avoid!

Really disappointed with Dell. Bought a very expensive laptop (over £1k) in March 2012 and expected around £100 cashback as there was an improved promotional rate on at the time. The cashback never tracked; I raised a claim. Had to chase it every few months. After 10 months and another chaser email from me, I'm told the cashback has been declined for no reason. Totally shafted. All my other transactions (for small amounts) track ok. 0 stars if I could.

Steer away from Dell. I bought a purchase of £1600. They delivered the product and cashback was shown, then a couple of days it was declined. Someone is out there to take your earned cashback by declining it, I did not do anything untoward. I have submitted this to TCB lets see what they say, will keep you updated but looks like a con at the moment from Dell

Purchased printer using TCB voucher code and cashback. Both worked so total discount of 33%. Tracked as soon as item was sent for delivery. Now just hoping that the claim gets actually paid despite the more recent comments.

Not tracked after two weeks. I've now filed a manual claim for this purchase.

Dell don't pay up. They were offering a high rate of cash back and I decided to purchase a monitor in the sale. Several months later and they still haven't paid up. Whilst cashback is not guaranteed its a complete con not paying out. Why bother having a claim button for untracked cashback when they aren't willing to accept such claims. Avoid cashback with dell!

I have been waiting for the cashback to be tracked for nearly 2 months now. Firstly, the purchase is not tracked and now I am waiting for the merchant (in this case Dell) to comeback. Poor cashback service from Dell. Dissappointed.

I've bought a laptop in May, the transaction didn't track and I'm still waiting for the cashback.

Dell do not pay up, they only seem to be interested in tempting sales rather than rewarding customers through supposed cash back initiatives. What a joke!

Dell have cancelled my order as there is an unavailability issue for parts to make the alienware M17 gaming laptop. 3 weeks after my order I called to ask where my delivery was and was told it would be another 3 weeks. The next day they called to say order is cancelled. If you want a gaming laptop do as I did & go to PCSPECIALIST. No cashback, just good UK service and bargain prices.

Cashback did not track, it then took five months for them to decline the manual claim, without giving any reason. I have never had an issue with any other retailers.

Cashback didn't track and topcashback is unable to resolve the issue for many months.

Just got 10% £130 off an alienware laptop using a code & I should be receiviing 6% cash back of £78. To top it all the laptop was also reduced by Dell some £205 a total saving of £413 on a £1503.99 laptop. Happy days.

This is about the fourth Dell purchase and secound pc purchase and this is the only time i have had problem with cashback claim.Purchased in May and still waiting, lodged manual claim and waiting Dell response. Shame really because it does cloud future decisions because not the cheapest products you can buy.

I bought a new dell XPS15 expecting £30 cashback. Their customer service agent cancelled my original order stating they believed it was a fraudulent purchase. After several calls I provided all the correct details and the service agent re-instated my order however the new order was never tracked thus saving Dell reimbursing me with £30 cashback. Think twice if the only reason you're purchasing from dell rather than a competitor is the cashback difference resulting in a lower price.... Be warned!

Warning - Cashback paid on ex-VAT price, so 20% less than advertised. Also, customer services very unhelpful - I don't believe a customer services rep should say "buyer beware" when you point out their online descriptions are misleading.

I run an IT company so I buy quite a few systems from Dell about 20 a month, I have no idea what is going on with the cashback though as since the beginning of may I have ordered 9 laptops from them and not one of those 9 has tracked I have had to put manual claims in for all 9.. plus the rate has fallen from 5% to 2%

Only critisism is the time between transaction and payment of cashback. If this can be improved you'll be on to a winner!
