I took out insurance with L&G back in June, it didn't track and so I lodged a claim but was told it would be put on ice for a period of 180 days. so on 22nd December got a message to say the claim would be submitted, on the 29th I sent a nudge, then got a response on the 2nd of Jan to say the claim has now been submitted but this could take up to three months for anything to happen. It hasn't even tracked. I'm gonna try not to be disingenuous to TCB but why do they have these con artist on their site. I've read the reviews and there's only 4 that say that they've been paid out and I very much suspect these are bogus, as when one clicks on reviews it's the 1st 4 you'll see, as TCB's default settings for reviews is to display the highest stars 1st and not by date. Had a look at the reviews on another cashback site and they are very similar. nothing but frustrated customers waiting over a year only to be knocked back ridiculous reasons. TCB pull your finger out and do something about these compannies. TCB must be aware that customers will pay slightly more for products if it means that, after getting cashback we are better off in our pockets for it. Legal and General certainly are, which is why they run this scam on not 1 but many cashback sites. Avoid like the plague. TCB kick them to the kerb before you have many more disgruntled customers

Firstly my purchase did not track and I had to make a claim.Seems highly suspicious to me that some of these Merchants for Insurance and Mobile Phones that lure you in with a promise of a high cashback amount never seem to track.Waited 4 months only to be told I did not meet the terms and conditions.Absolute rubbish!!I've now asked Topcashback to get clarification as to why my claim has been denied.Don't trust any Insurance company as they will riggle out of any occasion when they have to pay money out.Will now wait God knows how long for Topcashback to chase Legal and General for a definitive answer.No doubt they will come up with some feeble excuse!

No cashback received 9 months on despite numerous complaints and spoken to the merchant who said it is top cash backs error. I don't believe this to be the case although I don't seem to be getting anywhere at either end. Lesson learned here! NEVER USE THIS MERCHANT!!!

I purchased insurance in the middle of November, it has not tracked so I have just lodged a missing cashback claim. I will keep my fingers crossed that they pay out.

Took 7 months to get £60 cashback and had to go through the complaints procedure to get it. Never failed with Topcashback yet but do have to persevere sometime.

I've waited OVER A YEAR now for this cashback, despite chasing it up a number of times and being assured I would definitely get paid out, I just need to be patient! I will be avoiding L&G at all costs from now on and will be advising others of this too!

I don't usually write reviews but I'm really not happy with Legal & General. Took out insurance on 14/5/13. The merchant notes say it will track at £0.00 for 6 months at which point the correct rate will be added. It's now 11/12/13 and this still hasn't happened. Just went to make a claim, but as it's more than 200 days Topcashback can't do anything. Will avoid anything from Legal & General in he future because of this experience.

Bought insurance off them in Feb 2013 , transaction not tracked . Submitted claim and have now been told , that the claim is rejected because of using other marketing channel . This is all rubbish , i purchased through topcashback and did delete all cookies before transaction . Very disappointed .

avoid! wish I read the reviews........tracked at £ 0.00, went to put in a claim and tcb says it cann take a while for it to come through. 8 months later and still waiting!!

Beware: cashback claim rejected “Declined - Order/Reference ID is invalid”. I've checked and the order number and reference are exactly as specified in their purchase confirmation email (cut & paste); so no idea what's going on. The process has taken so long that I cannot appeal (200 days max).

I followed the correct procedures for taking out a policy via Top Cash Back back in September and my account is showing £0 from this insurer. Why is it taking so long (I appreciate that the cash back offer takes a few weeks to come through but the amount I was promised is not even shown as pending in my account.

Bought in July but did not track despite complying with all t&c's and clearing cookies etc. Cannot lodge a missing claim for 180 days which I am sure will not get me anywhere. Do not use.

Very Disappointed with L&G for reneging on its cash back offer. I took out this Insurance in good faith that the cash back offered would be honoured. It has not and continues to show as 0.00 payable in my account 9 months later. I have spoken to L&G Customer Services who initially told me it would take 6-12 months for payment to be made. NOW they tell me IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM and my claim is THE PROBLEM OF TOPCASHBACK. Meanwhile, TOPCASHBACK's response is I am outside of my 200 days to register my claim that has tracked and was not a complaint until I had queued patiently in line for my cash back (as you do in the UK) to find the likelihood of getting it is slim to zero. I take a little comfort from others who have left feedback that L&G have taken well over a year in some circumstances to make the cash back payment but I don't hold out much hope if Topcashback aren't won't process my claim and so many people have left feedback that they were not paid at all .... I don't understand the logic of so many giving L&G 5 stars just to have their disgust at L&G read by others. It's very misleading and skews the negative feedback percentage to positive (bizarre!)

Bought in May and tracked as 0.00 cashback after a few days. Then I read these mostly negative comments. Bit annoyed with myself as the policy was only a few quid cheaper than the others. Still 0.00 in September, but then suddenly last week went to payable with the full amount of 50.50. Obviously a lot of people aren't getting paid but I can't complain now.

This worked for me. I gave only 4 stars as its a very long tracking time (and misleadingly tracks as £0 in the meantime), but the cashback came in exactly as advertised.

Took out a policy in Aug 2012-Still waiting for cashback. Do yourself a favour and select another company even for less cashback, something is better than nothing.

Bought a contents only policy and did not receive cashback promised. Paid for policy in full. AVOID. Also TCB help was practically non-existent.
