Tracked fully then completely declined 4 months on, even though I have the policy! Not happy! Don't bother.

Bought a home policy on November 28, 2013, yes 2013. Bought it due to what appeared to be the excellent cashback. Didn't appear initially as tracked, so I raised a ticket. Nothing much has happened since apart from a fairly regular "nudge" on my part. As the nudges didn't work, I assume L&G are comatose. I should have looked at the tracking stats first - average payment takes nearly 9 MONTHS!! I could have moved house in that period. Can't blame Topcashback, as they are dependant on the retailer's effeciency in processing claims. In this case, L&G place a higher priority on home insurance claims than cashback claims, or I hope they do. It would heklp if a higher profile were given to retailer's payment periods. L&G are certainly not on my "would use again" list. Bad experience for me.

Not happy, cashback declined by L&G although I met the criteria. Policy now cancelled and business taken elsewhere. Gave them the opportunity to sort it before I cancelled but they were unable to sort it.

Unfortunately after a year they do not honour the cashback that initially tracked fine. Do not use this company! I will be cancelling my new policy.

Knowing Legal and General would not pay out for at least five months I submitted an early claim with topcashback as a precaution. This resulted in cashback being allocated to my account but unfortunately it was for a single policy payout and not the combined building and insurance that I purchased. I notified topcashback of the discepancy on 30 May 2014 and am still waiting for a resolution. It will be a year in November since I purchased this policy. I am not a happy customer.

On 21/08/14 I wrote "Won my business by offering cashback in August 2013, as would be cheapest after cashback, but although showing confirmed still not paid out. Seems to be a complete con; surely should be some rule about making a deal look better by offering cashback but then not honoring it?" On 22/08/14 it was suddenly payable after a year a day after writing the above - coincidence? I don't know but just to give a fairer reflection of the outcome.

I am another of those who never received cashback within the normal timescales. HOWEVER almost a year later and after some harrassing of Topcashback I eventually received the money. I had all but given up but give Topcashback their due they kept to their word and chased Legal and General and it all came good in the end. I appreciate they are in the middle so thanks do go to Topcashback. I wouldn't particularly recommend Legal and General as it does seem to be luck of the drawer. Don't rely on the cashback to make the quote the cheapest as I did.

Tracked at zero for months and expected the £50.50 cashback but it never came. Once you are awaiting more than 200 days you can never get the cashback so you have to diarise to chase after 4 months if you haven't got it. Wait 7 months and its lost. Been with Topcashback many years and this is the only merchant to disappoint. Would not use again - insurance is only cheaper with the cashback else product too expensive.

Bought product in December 2013, failed to track, put "on ice" for 4 weeks sent 4 nudges to date but I'm still waiting for track today (03/06/2014) almost six months after purchase. Will think twice about using them in the future if this is an indication of their service.

Tracked at £0.00 then transaction declined. As others have also pointed out, this "cashback" appears to be a lie as Legal & General just refuse claims and you then have no way to argue with that decision.

Finally validated at the correct promoted amount, but not confirmed as yet. It took a complaint re t&c's, which have now been changed. So take screenshots as you may need to go back to the t&c's at the point of sale. I've been informed by L&G I should receive my cash at 5 months, which should be very early July. It will be chased up again if not paid by then. TCB is now advising I may have to wait 36 weeks!

These can take up to 36 weeks to become payable from the date of purchase, this is the estimate based on how quickly the cashback has been received in the past, but I can assure you that you will see the cashback reflected in your account once this has been received. I am completely disgusted with Legal and General over my cashback claim. I followed the steps as advised, it took them ages to respond. A year later and I had still not received my cashback. I then re-insure with Legal and General for a following year. Now 18 months later and Legal and General have refused my cashback.

18 months after taking out insurance with Legal & General and chasing up owed cashback I was eventually declined on the grounds that i'd apparently used a separate voucher or discount code. Is bizarre and a totally made up reason as certainly didn't use any other kind of code, didn't even know such things existed for insurance.

Don't expect your cashback to be payable within 6 months, or 3 months if you paid upfront. I purchased my combined policy in October 2013, and paid upfront, and topcashback have just informed me that payment won't be expected before July 2014!! That's 9 months, not the 3 months they advertised!!

Got an email from Topcashback saying there would be no payment of cashback as our policy was cancelled. Phoned legal and general only to find out they had changed our policy resulting in a new policy number. One that didn't match the cashback claim. I wonder how many other people they have done this to to avoid paying out?
