Purchase of House/Contents insurance showed no sign of tracking after 14 days, so had to unfortunately cancel the policies within the cancellation period - could not risk having to pay over twice my second choice quote which did not depend on a cashback.

even before the cash back this was the cheapest quote for fully comp or third party, make sure you go through topcashback even if you are retrieving a quote to qualify for the cash back, also you have to complete the quote online! if you phone them to complete the purchase then you wont qualify. if you need business cover just phone up after the purchase and get it changed they only care about mileage not type of use.

UPDATE....It is now 2 Months and 2 Weeks and still has not tracked. Missing cashback enquiry done, followed by an e-mail and 10 nudges....still no cash.
SOMEONE MUST SURELY BE ABLE TO SORT THIS OUT????!!!!!

I applied for Lloyds building/contents on 30/4/08 and submitted an equiry to Topcashback on 16/5/08, as no tracking of my purchase had been acknowledged. This morning(23/5/08), I have received a 'Refund the Difference' form from Lloyds asking for proof of my previous insurance (paperwork which I no longer have!). One stipulation on the claim form is that my switch to Lloyds insurance must have been completed by 31/3/08! Has anyone else been approached by Lloyds in this fashion???

I am new to TCB and did a buildings and contents quote through lloyds, however, because I have had a small water damage claim previously the quote could not complete online and I had to call them. Has anyone else had this experience and managed to get their cashback?

Thanks mate, at least that provides a time scale for us to hopefully aspire towards. I fully agree the stats should be separated as it's clearly handled by a completely different section of Lloyds TSB.

Took out insurance 21st November. Filed missing claim mid January, and was paid 26th March. Hope this helps. Shame there is no other company that pays nearly as much. I would rather have a bit less dosh, and see it track, than risk a non-tracker. Home and motor tracking statistics should be seperated.

I agree with TECHSPEC - the house insurance issue does need to be resolved by TCB. I do not believe that anyone has had their house insurance track correctly. All the positive reviews on this site appear to be related to car insurance.
TECHSPEC - please can you advise how long it took for your manual claim to eventually be paid? ie when did you take out the policy, when did you submit your claim and when did it finally show as tracked in your account? Many thanks

Buildings & contents taken out 25th March, still has not tracked. TCB say it may take months before anything goes through, hopefully I'll get my £120. Have not lost out as the policy was about the same cost as my previous one, but the time & hassle of changing it seemed worth £120 - if it ever comes!

BUYER, BEWARE! There seems to be massive problems with commission from house insurance judging by the recent feedback. Two months, eight nudges and an e-mail and it still has not tracked. I wish I understood why the car insurance commission seems to pay out so easily. I will now update this weekly to keep everyone informed as to, if, and when, this eventually pays out.
