nothing wrong with the cars I have hired, just never seem to get cash back and TCB seem uninterested or so much less than helpful. Been waiting over a year for some cashback as soon as I query it the cash back is magically declined. Worst service ever and guaranteed this review does not see the light of day like the last one

have hired through SIXT about 10 time over the last two years, cashback shows tracked but hardly ever pays. TCB seem less than interested, another cashback site on the other hand tracks and pays for SIXT......

Rented a car in March, returned, everything is fine but the cashback is still pending!!!! Some other merchant has already make my cashback in July payable, don't know why Sixt needs half a year to process it! Or maybe never process it!
Not expect Sixt will make it even confirmed one day...Seriously, this is a lie...Based on all the comments, I suggest you not try it at all...

Like other reviewers, Sixt just doesn't even track the cashback. I don't think companies who have a bad record should even be listed as a merchant, some people will book through a company based on the potential cashback, and if a company doesn't even bother to give it, they shouldn't be on here.

I echo the views of other users of SIXT - I have received no cashback, and they are extremely dismissive in correspondence.
I'll not be using SIXT again!

Rented a van from Sixt. They arranged for it through one of their partner firms and everything seemed fine. Filled all the details in etc. Went to collect the van only to be told that the partner firms insurance wouldn't cover me and that Sixt should never have made the booking as they were aware. Walked an hour home again without the van to call customer service and after a 10minute wait I got through to an advisor.
The advisor said that yes they were aware they local branch couldn't insure me and they shouldn't have made the booking. They claimed they couldn't put me on their insurance in order for me to rent the van. I was told there were no managers to speak to and I'd have to phone back a few days later. I did that and was still refused to speak to a manager because the advisor said they could handle it. Waited on a call back to resolve the issue, it never came.
TL;dr Booked a van, wasn't insured and couldn't collect it. Left without a van and no time to book elsewhere. Sixt customer service was useless

Booked a car hire in germany at a cost of £140 with the possibility of 8% cashback. Due to reasons outwith my control i didn't make the flight to germany so i informed Sixt i wouldn't be able to pick up the car. Unfortunately i didn't get a refund but there wasn't much i could do about that. They have now rejected the cashback even though i still paid the full price of the car hire, i tried emailing them but they havent responded. I won't use them again and i advise anyone else thinking of booking with them to avoid at all costs. They are cheap for a reason!!!

Cashback tracked but then went to zero - months before I was due to pick up the car! Have had no response re. missing cashback. Am now considering cancelling the car hire - if they cannot be trusted to give cashback, don't think I feel comfortable using them at all.

To be fair - cashback has just tracked now, but they still owe me £19.00 plus from first car hire, which they won't acknowledge. Also, the amount of cashback is not correct (ie. where do they get the amount from , as it is not a correct percentage as advertised). The car was also not full of fuel on collection, but they tried to charge for a full tank - I think consumers need to be wary of these car hire companies and their tricks ....

Twice booked with Sixt - Twice "NO" cashback tracked ????
Absolutely rubbish - I have over £1200 of total cashbacks to date and several with other car hire companies - all tracked perfectly.
Please, please, please please AVOID Sixt ...
I will be over the moon if this review stops just one person booking with Sixt - please leave a note if this is the case.
Cashback (or non cashback) such as this should be banned. I even offered to fax over the copies of my receipts - no-one is interested.

Company is a sham. They dont stick to their own terms and conditions and when you need some help their customer service is a joke. To make matters worse, despite booking months in advance, my cash back has became payable as 0 before the booking as even taken place!!! Avoid like the plague

They paid out eventually
Now Hertz has become very expensive, (thus negating the cashback advantage), I have given Sixt another go
Currently tracking at 0.00, even though the car was returned last week. (Should I have known better???)
Will report back if/when cashback payment is successful

very quick cashback on car hire and competitive price for short notice booking with no risk of cancellation charges which was a boon because my flight was very late to the point of almost being cancelled

However, no cashback was received, despite several nudges
Very disappointed. I hire a car nearly every week at the moment, so they've lost out to Hertz who are more reliable, and pay back 10% instead of 5%
