Ridiculous, you cannot get any cashback if you're switching from Sky broadband as the phoneline isn't BT. I spoke to SSE and the "solution" is to apply over the phone and forgo any cashback which today would have been £127. Hmm.........

Switched to SSE ten months ago via Topcashback. Transaction still pending despite the stated 21 weeks payment speed. My advice would be to avoid SSE and Topcashback if the cashback is your main incentive for switching.

I recently took out duel fuel switch to sse. part of the reason for my changing was the amount of cashback offered . Initial cashback of £23.43 added on 31 may and manual element added early November at £0.00. It should have been £25.39. I will not let this lie and have lodged a missing cashback claim. I also contacted sse customer services and they seem vague on how this all works so I will educate them. I have been given the e mail of the customer services manager and have been asked to give it to TCB with my account numbers and have been told he will authorise this so we will see what happens. If this works I will ask tcb to send it to all future complainents.

SSE - avoid like the plague! Don't pay out despite valid claim, don't keep their promises. Poor poor company, I urge everyone to cancel and switch provider - it's the only way to stop lying cheats like this. Hope they go bust.

AVOID SSE if cashback or your time is of any value to you. I have now been advised after 4 months of waiting that SSE won't make a cashback payout, although the referral clearly tracked and my supply has been switched. This is the only time I have ever had a cashback declined by any merchant.

SSE totally failed to track my transaction. This is the only site I have ever had an issue with over a large number of transactions. So if cashback is important to you in buying from SSE, based on my experience after 2 months with no progress in getting my transaction acknowledged, I advise you to purchase elsewhere. On the other hand, Top CashBack are doing their best to follow this up, so I am hoping for a better resolution eventually.

It has been over a year since I signed up to SSE via M&S energy and still no cash back. SSE say that I have cancelled the order. How that's possible is beyond me as I am receiving gas and electricity from them and get regular bills etc. So far TopCashback seems to be trying but considering how many people have complaints with SSE I feel that a clear message needs to be sent to SSE and they should be kicked off this site. It seems ridiculous to have been spending the last 13 months chasing after £46 but I now want to take it further as I only took the deal out because of the cash back.

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! We I have been waiting over 16 months and twice it has been in my account and tracked before disappearing.. a bit of a nightmare really as 46 pounds is quite a bit of cashback.. I must say now I have got it, its worth it, as I secured a good fixed price for my electic etc till Jan 2013 and also they have just sent me 40 pounds of M and S vouchers for being with them a year and apparently reducing my useage..the experiennce is a lot of hassle but like NEIL says, keep at them and YOU WILL get it thanks to the 'EXCELLENT WORK AND DETERMINATION OF THE TOP CASH TEAM, SO THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THAT!!'

Excited!! Well, after 18 months of trying to secure my 46.60, it is now showing as confirmed!! Am I nearly there?? It has done this before and then disappeared.. hopefully, I will have some good news soon, but what a carry on.. If and when I get the cash, I am really going to enjoy it!!!
