AA Home Insurance Reviews

If you’re looking for home insurance, you should take a look at what AA can offer you. Have a read through the AA Home Insurance review feedback below and you’ll see the vast majority of members who took out a policy through us were delighted with what they received. Many highlight how pleased they were with the cashback process, while others praise the company for the product and service provided. One member said: “Very good company to deal with, no issues at all.”

Among the many comments left regarding cashback, some of the feedback you’ll find includes “good value insurance with cashback as advertised — excellent”, “smooth transaction, tracked immediately and paid out quickly”, “five-star service, fast payout” and “great — always pays out, never fails”. While the AA Home Insurance reviews feedback on Trustpilot isn’t quite as positive as what you’ll find here, there is still some very good feedback. One happy customer stated: “I have been with the AA insurance services for many years for house building and contents, car insurance and breakdown cover. They are excellent in every respect.” Log in to review

Absolutely rubbish, only took out the insurance with them because of the £38 cashback offer which never tracked (in Dec) and I've still not had any response despite nudging topcashback every month. All I get is a phonecall from the AA at least twice a day trying to get me to take out extra insurance with them. Disappointed to see people with more recent policies getting their cashback quickly

Bought Home and Contents Insurance on February 10th.Received £38.38 cashback on April 2nd.Great cashback experience! Convincing friends and family that TCB money is without a "catch" is the hard part!

I chose AA this time as the offer for cashback was far better than RAC, who I usually use. I also chose the same for home insurance for the same reasons. However, The AA have not paid out on either cashback claims, despite Topcashback trying to reolcve it. Therefore this will be my first and last experience with the AA. Should not be offering deals to lure ciustoimers in and then not paying out.

Took out buildings and contents with AA on 05/01/13 after using several price comp sites. AA offered best levels of cover and premium was very good. Received £38.00 cash back on 27/03/13, 79 days after purchase. Have used AA for years, never any problems tracking or paying out. Excellent company for doing business with and level and payment of cash back puts some other companies to shame. Well done AA

Avoid AA at all costs if CASHBACK is your need. I can assure you 100% that you wont get your cashback. I have had a terrible experience with them and so do my friends. Avoid at all costs.

Bought home insurance from this company last year and I've still been refused cash back! There was no dispute that I had followed the link from this website or that it had been tracked, but they still did not pay out. Was not happy. Was told by topcashback that these things are not guaranteed. Not helpful and just closed the claim with no money in my pocket.

Cashback won't ever appear, so don't buy this for the cashback. Service from the AA on the product itself is fine, so no problems there!

Yet another unpaid cashback claim - I purchased buildings and contents insurance in March 2012 and cashback showed as only £19.19. This should have been £38.38 so I lodged a claim for the full amount. Having sent several nudges I now find that the amount payable is 0.00!! Topcashback really should not be dealing with this company - in most cases they are not honouring their cashback offer.

Purchased in July 2012 after clearing cookies, sessions etc; still nothing. Don't think they ever really provide cashback!

Somebody keeps deleting this post. Not sure why, as I'm only setting out the way I finally obtained the cashback which should have been paid in the first place. Anyway, here it is again ...... "A ray of hope! following my post back in august, I wrote to the president of the aa, at: the automobile association ltd, fanum house ug, basing view, basingstoke, hampshire, rg21 4ea. The aa’s own website states: "we make big promises to our customers and our colleagues, so it's vital that we keep these promises". I invited the president's thoughts as to how failing to honour cashback offers does anything to support this statement, and any reasons he might care to suggest as to why I should not report the matter to trading standards." I also copied a load of negative feedback posts from this site. Continued in post dated 23 Jan 13 ...

Having written to the AA (see previous post dated 23/01/13), I was contacted by a lady from the AA's "Special Investigations Executive". It appeared that Top Cashback and the AA were both blaming each other for the failure to pay up. However, she sent me a cheque for the £19 owed "as a gesture of goodwill". After she contacted Top Cashback a second time, they too credited my account with £19. So there you are - success. But only after a lot of effort. If you decide to try my approach, good luck - and please share your experience on the forum for other people's benefit. Regards, Jon.

Do not take cashback into account when deciding to get AA insurance - you are unlikely to ever see it! I bought home insurance in Jan 2011 and fulfilled all the criteria to get £38.38 cashback. As with everyone else, however, my cashback never appeared. After chasing it up I eventually was informed in May 2012 that the AA had refused my claim. There is no reason for this that I can see. Avoid AA insurance if you are hoping for cashback. I would only take insurance from them if they provide the best quote, WITHOUT taking cashback into account.

I had the same problems highlighted by so many others here. Pls remember it is most likely an intermediary that approves the cashback, not the AA itself, but after a year I finally got my rejection approved and cashback was paid. Not sure its worth the pain as it seems chances are no cashback will be forthcoming. Seems dodgy to me and resulted in me losing my faith in TCB to pay any cashback over £20, so many times have such expectations been dashed

Possibly the worst "cashback" offer ever, might as well say no cashback coz no one seems to have got a penny

The AA reneged on cashback owing from my purchase of home emergency insurance. I have just received my renewal quotation which shows a premium increase of £12, it was most satisfying to tell them to stick it where the sun ain't shining.Never trust the AA to pay cashback

i have the same pathetic result as many others. why is TCB just sitting back and dishing out standard refusal letters.TCB also show a 96% satisfaction rate, which i find very very difficult to believe.

I've been waiting months now for cashback from AA, if the are this slow processing cashback what chance have we got when they have to sort insurance claims out for anyone who is unfortunate to need to claim.

Glad to see I'm not alone in finding The AA's home insurance cashback offer to be a complete sham. If you're considering buying home insurance through this route, don't bother. You will spend months chasing up the claim, only to have The AA wash their hands of you by claiming that you have failed to comply with their Ts & Cs in some way, or that the transaction failed to track properly. I would take great enjoyment from watching Trading Standards give them a poke in the eye; the only thing I'll be giving them in future is a wide berth. Jon Trueman.

I followed all the t&cs of the small print but they still refuse to pay out without explanation. This really does border on fraudulent.

I have had exactly the same problems as many others on this site. I was due Cash back for the combined home and contents policy, tracked OK and then showed as £0.00, I clicked on the link via Topcashback so not via any other source i have been chasing now since May for a policy taken out in Jan.
