A total deceit and absolutely zero accountability. Its coming close to 1 year now and no response about my cashback yet. I can safely say that never again will I go with Direct line expecting cashback and would not recommend it to you either.

We did a quote outside of cashback and separately using cashback route. Our experience was that when going via cashback, Direct Line more or less added the cashback onto the premium then deducts it to give the impression of a good deal. This seems very dishonest and meant we declined to use Direct Line.

I have been waiting for 7 months now for my £70 cashback, following the purchase of my car insurance. It's safe to say I won't be buying car insurance from them when my renewal comes through!

I have just received my second cashback payment of over £50, the first was over £70. Yes, they took around 4 months to come through but well worth the wait. Very pleased :)

It has taken five months but as I could see from other comments that Direct Line take a long time to pay up (if they pay at all) I was just patient, and yes, in the end I've received my £50.50 for a car policy. It's classed as a new policy even though I was insured with them last year, just get a new quote and cancel the old policy, it's always cheaper to do this anyway even without the cashback. Prices given for 'new' customers are always lower than renewals - they rely on your inertia.

Took the policy in june 2013...no cashback yet. It wasn't even tracked to begin with. Lodged a missing cashback complaint, still no luck. Would stay away next time!

Bought car insurance February 2013, policy almost up and cashback still not confirmed. It has cost me more relying on the cashback, could have got the insurance cheaper elsewhere. Do not use Directline for car insurance if you want the cashback.

Three policies last year all eligible for cashback but NONE have tracked. Topcashback have confirmed the qualifying conditions have been met and submitted claims but NOTHING. Read other feedback to appreciate I'm not alone. Best avoid if you depend on cashback for best price.

Bought my car insurance 29 May submitted claim 3 July still no cashback. I will not be buying from them again. Cashback can be as high as you like, if you don't pay it. I keep sending nudges to TC but still I don't get any money. Avoid this company unless the basic premium is good and you don't want cashback

Waited six months for payable cashback. Had to provide proof of policy however it did track once they had confirmed. Good cashback offered but six months is a long time to wait.

Bought car insurance in April 2013, met all the conditions required by Direct Line but still no sign of claim being tracked in spite of best efforts by TCB. Looks like Direct Line are conning people - they won't get my business again. Will make this clear to them when my renewal comes round. Think TCB should delete this company from their scheme, it reflects badly on them.

Waited over 30 weeks hoping cashback would become payable but then logged in to find it had been declined. Have lodged a missing cashback claim as I don't understand what t&cs I haven't met to have it declined but I can't say I'm holding out much hope of actually getting this cashback at all now. Similar story on my DL pet insurance claim...I've waited ages for it to progress but it hasn't got any further and I have a suspicion it is going to go down a similar route. Good job DL were actually good deals for me without the cashback.

The site says that the DL cashback is paid by Topcashback, and not by the merchant Direct Line, so do not contact them. If so, why is it taking longer to receive the cahback? It is up to TCB to pay up!

Submitted for cash back in september and was saying 26 weeks now has jumped to 34 weeks. At this rate my policy will be up for renewal before my cash back is done.

Will my cashback ever become payable??? Bought car insurance in june when it was at £75 which thought great as my annual premium including this was only just over £100! Cashback tracked fine and was showing payable in 26 weeks but it has now jumped up to 34 weeks, surely it doesn't take over 6 months to track! And i'm not even paying monthly, I have paid Direct Line the full annual premium so don't understand why it's taking so long!

Have had item tracked in May which has had an expected payable term of 26 weeks, however I have just noticed that this has now been changed to 34 weeks. Has anybody else experienced this, I fear it may be another non payment tactic.

What does this point in the T&Cs mean? "Cashback is not available on Direct Line car insurance policies paid by annual Direct Debit. Payments in whole or on monthly direct debit are eligible for cashback" Can I pay the whole premium at once by credit card?

Well I bought my policy in March, cashback tracked straightaway, then around 4 months to go to confirmed, and today became payable! Yippee. I always use direct line as I find they are the best and their quotes always cheapest for me. One happy lady! £50 better off!
