The easy application process also comes in for praise in Hastings Direct Car Insurance review feedback, as does their good customer service, while one member says they were very helpful following an accident. Members are happy with the good rate of cashback offered and the fact that it is paid on time, while one was surprised to receive a reminder that cashback was payable in their account.

Hastings Direct’s four-star rating on Trustpilot is largely down to people saying such things as “cheapest on the Internet” or “brilliant and easily the cheapest by miles”. Customers are also happy with what they describe as a reasonable excess and the fact their policy includes personal accident cover, while another was delighted to get good comprehensive cover at a reasonable price with lots of extras included.

One person who left feedback says Hastings beat their renewal quote by £500, while they are also thanked for always being friendly and helpful, providing a “great price for a young driver” and for the fact it is easy to manage a policy online. They didn't track my transaction, even though I used incognito mode in chrome, and used the topcashback tool to identify the deal. Really unhappy about this

Don't bother with this if you want cashback - 50 weeks I have waited for my cashback - nearly a year time to renew again won't go through hastings cashback...very poor

I took out insurance with Hastings via Top Cash Back. The money appeared in my account as PENDING, then after a number of weeks was DECLINED. I have proof that I took the policy. I reported the issue to TOP CASHBACK but 9 months later, I still havent received anything. My advice is to AVOID THIS OFFER

the cashback was very long in coming, i know it said it would take up to 26 weeks but why so long. Other than the wait Hastings is very good to deal with, have had a policy before from them.

It took over 5 months to pay the cashback so it came as a nice surprise. Had cause to claim for a windscreen repair which annoyingly had an excess of £25 but everything went smoothly. Windscreen repairs were free with my previous insurance but I suppose it's a sign of the times.
