Failed Cashback
Did not track, opened a claim but cashback was denied three months later due to TCB not being the 'last referrer'
I had done the usual process of clearing cookies and it's tracked/paid out for all other merchants. Won't use TCB again for this merchant.

money does not track
I have made two payments through topcashaback for hotels.com and both times the company does not register even though there was a topcashback banner when paying. Which has meant that I have. lost out on hundreds of pounds.

Poor
Not for the first time, hotels.com transactions have failed to track and they have subsequently refused to pay out, despite me doing everything by the book. The reasonable cashback is a key reason for using them in the first place, seeing as though they don't honour the transactions I will take my business elsewhere in future.

Claim rejected, on some technical loophole.
Wouldn't risk booking with Hotels.com again. Hotel accomodation booked in Jan, no changes or amendments, holidayed in April. And now they've officially declined it. What a waste of time.

Pays out but check the Price!
Paid out after two months (as expected).
TIP: check the price.. was often HIGHER via TCB than going direct?
-often showed differant prices (even when tracking cookies are cleared)
>>TIP: Hotel & Experia are now the same company but offer DIFFERANT rooms types.. eg price on hotels included breakfast; upon check-in arrival for the 'same' cheaper price via Expedia had deleted the breakfast option.. Cheeky!
Hotels (currently) get you overnight 'credits' worth checking the redemption value verusus the slightly higher price. ((though this is about to change for a new cross-ownership scheme called 'Keys'))

Does track but often at the wrong rates
Unlike Scotrail my purchases with hotels.com do seem to track. The issue is the cashback amount is never correct so have had to submit claims for it everytime.

Inconsistent rates
On 3 of the last 10 occasions we have booked through Hotels.com they have paid a much lower rate than advertised resulting in us losing almost £150 in cashback. We have put in claims and heard nothing.

Really overdue cashback
Cashback confirmed and due to be payable after 10 weeks, but still not payable after 23 weeks. Clearly not honouring their customer commitment. Will avoid Hotels.com in future.

Hotels.com are not paying out on transactions via topcashback.
So far I have used hotels.com via top cashback on all hotel purchases. So far about over 5 bookings post novembers 2023 are not tracked on Topcashback. Hotels.com say they cannot find the tranactions even though I have all orders and receipts with them from their website. I am a Gold Hotels.com member.

Will not use again
Used to use hotels.com regularly for all my bookings, we are frequent travellers. However last few times they have refused to track our stays, and have declined cashback. Won't use again and will opt to take our business elsewhere. Takes forever to pay put also, when they do track.

Beware - cashback always tracks low.
Cashback normally tracks ok, but always far too low (e.g. 1% instead of 10%). Make sure you monitor it and submit a manual claim within the 90 days if needed - I suspect this is a deliberate tactic by the tracking network, assuming that most people won't chase the claim.

Let down
Really let down by Hotels.com, was supposed to receive a good cashback amount, therefore the reason why I booked through them, however they have refused my claim saying they cannot find my booking. Despite me having all the emails from Hotels.com themselves and the hotel I stayed with, really disappointing and won’t use them again.

Still waiting for Cashback for Hotel Room
Booked a hotel room in Budapest in July 2023 through Hotels.com for an October break and I am still awaiting the cashback. Either it has been forgotten about or very very late in paying. Not Good!!
