Using a comparison site (i.e. confused.com) showed policyexpert to be one of the cheapest, and with the added benefit of cashback via topcashback made it a no-brainer. However the quote on their website after clicking through TCB was DOUBLE my original comparison quote, totally wiping out the benefit of the cashback. Watch out for this, the cashback is not always going to save you money, always check other comparison sites, (e.g. comparethemarket, tesco compare, gocompare, ect.)

Thats now 2 Claims declined with this Company, total con stay well clear and nothing to do with cookies etc as all other purchases have gone through no problem. Dont know how Topcashback let them away with this false advertising. Disgrace

This was a major struggle to get anything back. Took out in September, did not track. Opened ticket nothing happened for months. E-mails to company and TCB produced no results. Eventually telephoned company several times, customer support saying it will be paid next week each time. It finally became confirmed then payable. However, it was £10 less than advertised. Considering this company was £60 dearer than my previous policy for the extra £20 it simply not worth the hassle. Moral is if it is cheaper than your present insurer without cash-back then go for it. If it is not then be prepared for a lot of e-mails and telephone calls chasing cash back. Unfortunately seems a bit of a trend lately with TCB items not tracking and not being paid by company's

Cannot rate policy expert too highly. Saved £25 on premium and got £74 cash back promptly paid for increased cover with the same insurer I was with before.

I had to open a support ticket and after months of waiting my cashback was declined!!!!!!!!!! I have a valid purchase and this retailer is a con-merchant. They also messed me around calling at times I said I was unavailable to check policy details. A complete waste of money - the policy was only competitive due to the cashback, which they have now conveniently declined. I would never recommend anyone to get tricked into purchasing from this merchant

I have been trying to get my cashback from this merchant since last April (2013) and they have finally agreed NOT to pay me!! £90 they promised, but delivered nothing. I used the cashback system properly and have done for a long time, taking care to read any conditions that may apply, but they say I do not qualify for some reason. As such, I will not be using them again and will not be renewing my policy either.

Have noticed you can still lodge a claim if over a 100 days if tracked and disappeared after 100 days. You need to send a support ticket asking them to override the system. I am going to try this.

Cashback tracked at zero, TCB said to wait 12 weeks and would convert to £60. Suddenly disappeared off my account and went to paid at 0.01. FURIOUS

So far I have nothing positive to report about this retailer. I was hounded on the telephone after making an online purchase - they bizarrely seemed to want to check things that I'd already confirmed online and kept phoning at times I had specifically asked them not to (whilst at work). Then, to add insult to injury, they STILL have not uplifted the cashback from £0.00 over 4 MONTHS since purchasing my policy. The annoying thing is I only purchased from them because the cashback made them competitive, and I'm still waiting for them to pay what they promised. I would not recommend this merchant at all and definitely will avoid them at all costs in future, regardless of promised discount/cashback.

Cash back ! Ha what a joke. Bought home insurance feb 2013, waited 90 days, nudged at least once a month, finally got a reply from them saying declined "order cancelled/returned". I didn't cancel and have NOT had my money back! What a ripoff DONT use this merchant !

Original purchase failed to track. Can't fault Policy Expert, they were prompt and courteous. TopCashback took months to sort it out despite Policy Expert confirming they had paid. Good value cashback and once confirmed was paid very quickly. I would certainly go with them again.

First time of using this merchant, and to be absolutely fair - they have surprised me! £91 and some pennies cash back on a home insurance policy taken out for circa £200. Where in earths name could I beat that!? Fantastic is all I can say.

Well I took out my policy in January 2013 , cashback tracked immediately but never became payable . After contacting policy expert this came payable in july 6 months later , however after 3 emails and replies promising my £10 M&S voucher I am still waiting! Up for renewal again in January , wonder whether I will be staying with policy expert ?
