Transaction tracked really quickly and was confirmed quickly too. The problem was with getting the payment! That was very slow (from May to October) but the £130 has now become payable, so all's well that ends well.
My dealings with Scottish Power have been fine to date and I'm getting a better deal on my fuel prices than with my previous suppliers.
I do think that maybe Topcashback could have put more pressure on Scottish Power to pay out sooner. I realise that it was a large cashback amount and it was necessary to ensure I wasn't going to cancel. The direct debit payments that I have made to Scottish Power now total more than the cashback so perhaps Scottish Power are ensuring they're not going to lose out altogether. Maybe Topcashback should amend their estimated payout times to reflect the slower payout that many of us have experienced (then they woud save time not having to answer so many queries!)
I will continue to use Topcashback and can't believe that I ever bought things without getting cashback!

Very slow, my cashback is now payable (October) having applied in June! But £135 is not to be sniffed at!

Finally the £130 has become payable. I transferred in April and it has been a long wait for the cashback but it is worth being patient. I expect it would be the same experience with any other energy supplier.

Paid in full as always. This is not like buying a phone etc - the contracts take a while to go through (about 6 weeks) so people just need to be patient for cashback.

I have received my cashback today from a transaction in April. I have been waiting for this since July so didn't hold out much hope, but it came through in the end.

I switched in April and this has turned to payable today. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, but it has paid of in the long run and I did get a cheaper supplier so couldn't really complain too much if I hadn't got cashback.

I have been waiting for my Cashback to track for over 3 months. I completed a manual claim and have sent nudges once every month since. I must admit that i did think i would never see this money in Pending but is today showing. Over £135.00 with the top-up from top cashback so am really pleased. I believe Top Cashback to be the best site I've used with all but one manual claim, not been paid. Scottish Power so far so good but I havent had my first bill yet so only time will tell!!

Tracked fairly quickly, moved to Confirmed once the supplier change took effect, so just waiting for it to become Payable now. The actual transfer was quite painless. However, Customer Service does leave a lot to be desired so I'm hoping I don't need to speak to them again - maybe I was just unlucky, but the person I spoke to was ignorant. I've gone for a capped tariff, so I'll know by this time next year whether or not the change was worthwhile - if the £40 or so cashback goes through, I shouldn't really lose out overall.

I signed up with Scottish Power as I was tempted by the £140 cash back they were offering for a duel fuel switch, as well as them being slightly more competitive for gas and electricity than my previous supplier. This was on July 6th 2010. Now they wont pay up. Thought it was all to good to be true!

I suspect peterstcb you are right. I am now into my 2nd billed month with SP although I applied for the switch back in June. As there is no minimum contract term (that I am aware of) I presume they have to delay the payout to reduce the chances of people taking the cashback and immediately switching again to another supplier? makes business sense if you think about it! I'm sure it will be paid eventually.

My suspicion is that Scottish Power clearly only pay the cashback once they have taken from you AT LEAST the amount they will owe you in Cashback!! ie. several months!!
Still - let's be honest, there's tens of thousands who sign up to new energy suppliers who don't even know about Cashback websites - so we shouldn't really be complaining; at least as long the money arrives eventually........!!

Avoid Scottish Power - they will send you totally inaccurate bills (£300 quarterly gas bill for summer when gas was hardly used including 4 weeks when no gas was used due to no supply!) and then hound you for ever when you not unreasonably refuse to pay them until they provide a bill which actually bears some resemblance to reality.

Scottish Power + Top Cashback = a disgrace. I transferred in early May and I have been told today that if the £130 has not become payable by the first week in October then I should contact Top Cashback again. (Which will be the sixth time I've raised a query re this matter.) Appalling customer service, so I would not recommend either Scottish Power or Top Cashback to anyone else. If this ever tracks I'm closing my account and never coming back!!!
