I left EDF who are rubbish too by the way for the record, and thought that the transition was quite easy with Scottish Power. The only problem was that EDF did not get their fingers out and do my last gas bill then made all kinds of errors so I have been in dispute with them, and to top it all Scottish Power have not honoured their £80 cashback for transferring to them! I will be taking this up with Scottish power themselves and also might contact watchdog regarding this as it is false advertising in my book!! Not impressed!!

Bought back in March - still waiting for cashback to be paid end of August! There is a lack of communication from the cashback site regarding the delay - I have a feeling it will just go down to £0 payable. Not impressed,

Like everyone else, still waiting for cash back since March. Signed up because it would be cheaper, but so far that has not materialised (they insist on charging £20 more per month than I use, so I am paying the same or more) and there are price rises on the way. A big mistake, but every comparison site I checked showed it would save me on bills. Not impressed at all.

The cashback has now gone to £0.00
It seems previous owners of my flat were with SP so cashback does not apply. This is clearly stated now in the preface but I dont remember reading that when I first applied in March. Feel cheated.
Timewasters!
Would recommend you buy the best deal and not be tempted by best cashback deals - as the utility firms try to catch you out with small print and they are only out to make the max profit at your expense.

I left a message (2 down) which I'd like you to ignore. It was my mistake not understanding how the system works. I got my cashback thanks to Top Cashback!

Got a dual fuel in October 2010 and promised £105 cashback! None received so far after 8 months. Top Cashback won't allow me file a complaint to chase this up because it's over 100 days of my purchase date not taking this into account that the cash back was due after six months that I stayed with the merchant. Very disappointed because I though the cashback would cover their slightly higher rates :((

what does it matter if it tracked quickly or not. is this a tracking website or a casback website? why dont users wait a little longer before writing a review on the merchants page? i just dont get it. I got the cash after some weeks and scottishpower staff is nice and well trained. i feel that they are trustworthy.

Applied to switch dual fuel and after two weeks still no confirmation / correspondence from scottish power other than a system generated email? In the end decided to cancel.

Just a comment on tracking at this stage - tracked within about 12 hours, so satisfied with that.

First attempt at signing up through TopCashback: never heard anything from them. Called 2 months later to chase up, and they could find no record of my application at all. They claimed I must have signed up on a 3rd party site not run by them - I'm not sure whether this is the case for the TopCashback link.
At the 2nd attempt the application did get to them, however they processed it very slowly. My electricity supply has only just switched, 10 weeks after applying. I also had to phone them to give my meter reading because the web site they pointed me to had no link through which to send it, and I received 2 e-mails asking me to log on and read an "important communication" which didn't exist: both times I contacted them only to be told I was sent the message in error.
So I'm not at all impressed at their e-mail and web systems. I'm not very happy that the 15-month deal I tried to sign up to will now only last 9 months - are they deliberately minimising the amount I could save, or was it just incompetence? You decide.

A great way to cut your energy bills and use the utility companies efforts to attract new customers to your own anvantage.I am on the 3rd change now and always check the offer/tarrif is also the most competitive.I normally pay the cashback into the energy account which reduces monthly direct debits.

Tracked next day, following a dual-fuel switch. Paid well over a month before the estimated date. Excellent cashback and cheaper bills (at least for my region).
