Their ticket refund process is a nightmare. You post in a downloaded paper form then they do nothing for months. I only used them because of the cashback.

I used Southern Railway all the time for my rail purchases (regardless of route), and the 6% cashback was excellent. Tracking time was often the same day and seemed to be much more reliable if I used IE rather than Firefox. But today when I clicked through I got a "no association with this website" error from TradeDoubler. When I went back I see that TCB are now saying that they don't offer Cashback with Southern Railways so guess I need to look for another ticket company now :-(

The previous cashback rate of 6% offered by Southern Railways on ticket purchases (including other train operators) was excellent. However, it now seems it was too good to last as all cashback has been withdrawn from being offered during the evening of 16 January! Fingers crossed it may reappear one day.

Stopped giving cashback. I'll go with South West trains, but people do note that SW trains only gives cashback for journeys that include their routes.

AVOID - AVOID - AVOID Tracks fine and quickly to then decline the amount to be paid although you follow all their conditions for cashback. Out of three purchases, only one seems like it will be paid, the other two have been declined for no reason at all except that they were quite high as the tickets were expensive. Southern lures you to use with higher cashback than others but does not pay up once it is time to do so. I will never use them again. Be warned if you use them and be disappointed and scammed!

I use Southern a lot. I have purchased many tickets from them with no problems on tracking. Payment is slow and is a good 10-12 weeks. Then for some reason about a dozen tickets didn't track. I submitted manual claims for each ticket and after some emails back and forth Southern did pay up but that took six months. It seems to be tracking fine now. Just be mindful it's not quick to pay and keep an eye to make sure it's tracked if not submit a manual claim. It does not work on Season Tickets but does work on even non Southern Tickets

Tracked quickly for the correct value of £48 as purchase was for £800 but after 15-20 days tracked to zero for no apparent reasons other than the retailer trying to avoid paying up the cashback. Totally disappointed and unhappy. Will avoid using them now.

Used this cashback offer multiple times over the last few months. To book tickets between Southampton and Poole. Never received a penny in cash back even after submitting multiple missing claims... AVOID

Cashback reliability normally very good, however I've had a couple of recent large cashbacks reveresed for no reason I can see, so beware!

Has never yet tracked, despite 15 or so purchases. Had to raise a separate claim for every single one. The good news: an initial batch of claims did eventually progress through to payment. The bad news: it took around 7 months. If it's any consolation to everyone else posting on here with the same problem, quidco doesn't seem to be any better - tried switching to them, had exactly the same experience. At least tcb replied when I tweeted them about it - quidco didn't.

Always quickly tracked within a day, makes train travel that little bit cheaper. If you're not tracking then make sure you're deleting cookies first and not going via the national rail site first.

They've failed to track cashback on six separate purchases. Whilst the cashback rate looks fantastic on paper at over 6%, the reality is 0%. Time to switch merchant.

Bought loads of tix across the rail network via them and always had very rapid tracking, and payout in due course. Their moneyback guarantee covering uncollected TicketsOnDemand (except others Advances) = major bonus, and their lack of any fees/charges means they are my first port of call for tix.

Good site, good sale conditions (like others mentioned: no fees, etc), but have not seen ANY cashback from them at all. And I have no problems getting cashback from other merchants, so the error is not on my side. The oldest transaction I still have an outstanding claim for is from July 2012 -- and still unpaid. Not sure I'd want to risk it again
